I ordered 2 Chicken Shawarmas on with rice & one with fries, a side salad, & a Beef Philly Cheesesteak with fries. On the menu it states that the chicken shawarma would come with a salad. I was trying to ask the cashier if the salad was on the side, if not could he put it on the side. He explained to me that you have all of the salad mixings then the meat on top. I asked him to put the salad on the side. He kept repeating the same thing. So I asked him again does the chicken shawarma come with a salad. He said yes. I asked that he put it on the side or in a different container. He said yes & charged me for an entire salad... but I thought it came with a salad smh. In addition, I asked could I swap out the rice on one chicken shawarma for fries. The cashier said yes. When I got the order there were no fries or rice with either shawarma. The cashier tried to argue with me & tell me that is what I ordered. I told him no I didn’t & I would like it to be corrected. The cashier refused to do so. My mother also stater that her Philly Cheesesteak was bland & didn’t have all the toppings (onions, mushrooms, peppers, provolone), but just provolone & mushrooms. I have had a chicken shawarma several times & this doesn’t taste like one at all. They gave me the smallest container of “dressing” which was oil, lemon juice, pepper, salt & garlic (YUCK) for a large white “to-go” container that was filled with a salad. This wasn’t enough dressing THIS ISN’T REAL MEDITERRANEAN FOOD! Also it looks questionable as far as sanitary. The building is very small & you’re not allowed inside only in the drive through. The freezer is located outside. So the man & woman go back & forth getting items & then walking them to the kitchen that’s inside. They touch the handle with the gloves they are using to cook with & proceed about their business which isn’t sanitary. I have taken things up with my bank seeing as the man didn’t understand what I was saying & tried to tell me what I ordered instead of hearing me out. I will no longer be eating here. The food is bland, unsatisfactory, & not what they say...
Read moreJust discovered this absolute GEM of a restaurant in my neighborhood. Quick drive-up service with an option to order ahead. It's the kind of place where two people can get 3 meals out of $25 worth of food. All delicious, and makes for great leftovers.
This is my kind of comfort food, y'all. Gyros with shawarma? Yes please! Hot wings and gyros at the same place? INSPIRED! Tsatsiki sauce with a little kick? Didn't know I needed it until I had it.
On top of all that, it's in my neighborhood?! I've been driving past this place to get coffee for HOW LONG? I feel like a fool for not finding this place sooner, so please learn from my mistake and try it.
Seems to be family owned and run and 100% original, so I know my money is staying in the community. Local businesses with a drive thru are hard to come by, so if you're worried about having to change out of your pajamas, you don't have hit up a chain fast food place. Arhiboo Shawarma has...
