I wasn’t going to write this but it’s been days since my visit & I am still so hurt from my experience here! This might be a little long but bear with me. I was very excited to come here since I am a local and I heard they had revamped. The food was decent but even before I got to eat a HORRIBLE taste was left in my mouth by the service. The manager was extremely rude to me for daring to get comfortable and turn stretch my leg out on my seat so I didn’t have to turn my neck to see the TV screen as I waited for my late friend to join me for lunch. She could have simply asked me to kindly remove my leg off my seat & I would have happily done so, she instead decided to talk down at me, reprimand me like a child, and insult me to my friend when she arrived in front of my face. I apologized, explained and removed my leg off the seat.
But that wasn’t enough for her. She proceeded to reprimand me for having my Starbucks cup with me when I had already ordered a bottle of water when I arrived there. The host and waiters saw me as I walked in with my cup in hand and sat me not saying anything so I didn’t think it was a problem. When she brought it up, I told her I didn't realize it was a problem and I am happy to trash it right away. That didn’t matter. She was only interested in insulting and humiliating me as if I didn’t deserve simple courteous customer service as a paying customer. Lastly, the check was incorrect at the end and I realized when I got home that I was overcharged for my food.
I went there excited to eat at the new place and enjoy myself but left there fed with rudeness, condescension and insults. I have never experienced this kind of treatment at any other restaurant habesha or not! Needless to say I was disheartened and...
Read moreI'll NEVER order here again. I come from an Ethiopian/American family in Chicago where Authentic Ethiopian food is abundant. I've struggled to find authentic food in ATL so I tried this place and ordered online. I arrived 10 min after my pickup time in hopes that I wouldn't have to wait. WRONG. The host looked confused when I said I had an online order and went to find it. She came back and said it would be out soon. 15 min later I ask another person about my order who also looked confused and went to the back. After another 15 min I'm livid and I decide to leave. I noticed they had a drive thru so I went and told the person I had ordered my food an hour ago and she apologized profusely and went looking for the order. When I finally get it home it was gross. The lamb was so chewy I couldn't eat a single piece and I kept wondering what meat this really was. I ordered an extra bag of injera and when I opened it, it was rock solid and moldy. They gave me old bread!!! I was FURIOUS, threw it all away and I will never go back! I give up trying to find authentic Ethiopian here. It's either Americanized or nasty and I'll take the American...
Read moreI come here alot and food used to be delicious. However I went last week and ordered veggie combo, it wasn't good at all I ended up returning the food only ate the salad and green beans. green beans (fosoliya) was filled with carrots and potatoes rater than greenbeans. It should have more green beans than carrots and potatoes. Lentils tested as if it had been seating there more than 2 days, it wasn't fresh. The siljo, tested as if water and powder just mixed no flavor or no test to it. It needs more garlic and wosab (senafich) added so it can have better test. The injera itself wasn't fresh, it was dry and you can tell it was old. It shouldn't be setved to customers. I was disappointed 😞 specially I was hungry and was looking forward to eating. I ended up ordering fish, which was good. I wouldn't recommend veggie combo specially if you're Ethiopia and you know you food right. Best to just do Shiro and tibes or kitfo or even fish. At least it would be freshly made. Services are good Place is clean and net Bathroom clean It has full...
