My elderly mom and I received the most horrible treatment by none other than the owner of the Brusters on Braselton Highway today. Just thought you guys should know who we are patronizing.
My 77 year old mom wanted a small scoop of ice cream, so I took her by the Brusters for a little treat as we have done numerous times. Usually, we are greeted by the warm cheery smiles and helpfulness of the teenagers and college students that usually work there. But today, we were waited on by the rudest person ever. What was worst is that she was the owner and her actions were unwarranted and down right baffling. Thank God that the young adults that work(ed) there did not adopt her horrible customer service.
When she came to the window to repeat the order that we gave her at the speaker she seemed quite agitated, which my mom whispered to me (why is she so angry). I just assumed that maybe she was short staffed because school started back and probably a little overwhelmed and was taking it out in us. I chose to extend grace and ignore her abruptness. Well, she took it up a notch or two when I asked if I could sample a flavor as I did so many times before. She said No!!! We donât do samples!! I said I just sampled a new flavor a few days ago. Hostile again, she said weâre not doing it because of the delta variant. Well, honestly that was understandable (minus the hostility that Iâm still overlooking). She kept going on about the delta variant then commenced to telling my mother and I we donât have shop there if we donât like it. How rude!!!!! So I took her up on her suggestion, asked for my money back and took my mom and our service elsewhere. I told her that I would be going to Nextdoor to let those who patronized her in the area know how vile her treatment was for no good reason. She clearly did not care and stated it as well. My poor mother was so shocked by her rudeness and just wanted to go home. However, I didnât want to let this lady ruin her day, so I made sure she got her ice...
Read moreI love this brusters Iâve been going here since I was born!! I recently started taking my dog out on car rides since I finally bought my own car and I want my dog to have doggie sundaes. Last week I went and got some ice cream for myself and three doggie sundaes for my three dogs. They open at eleven and I got there at eleven thirty and nobody was there, only one girl. I wasnât answered at the mic so I drove around because I was so excited for my dog to try his first ice cream there and she came up and said that she didnât have many things because the truck was coming later (okay that makes sense) so I drove back around to look at the flavors again since the one I originally wanted wasnât there and she answered so I ordered. Then I ordered three pup cups and she only gave me one (I suppose itâs because I only had one dog in the car but the two others were at home and I wouldnât forget them and not get them some ice cream) then she told me she needed my card back for SEVEN dollars for two pup cups (Which are FREE) She rolled her eyes multiple times and was just a terrible worker in general. I totally understand that she was the only one there and that can be frustrating and stressful but I work in fast food and there is never a reason to treat a customer like that especially when I was being respectful and apologizing for being a pain. Today though I went back because Iâm not stopping because of only one bad memory. They were great and very helpful, it was a bit hard because my ice cream was melting a bunch and dripping all on my car but they got me some napkins ASAP and a new (bigger) bowl to hold my ice cream. Iâm so glad they restored...
Read moreI went there with some of siblings and we waited in front of the window for a good two minutes or so, at the time we were the only ones standing outside, and a worker opened the window in front of us and said she would be with us soon, then as soon as she left another worker closed the window and helped the family next to us who had just arrived. They took their order first. And when we finally got to order, which was another long wait, the worker who closed that window on us said nothing like âsorryâ she just acting all smiley like nothing happened. Iâm going to say that this is really sad for them because I always tip them good, and after this experience I donât want to go back and feel mistreated again. I donât know if itâs because we were not adult but they treated us like children. For anyone who wants to go there you are going to have to an adult to be treated like an adult. Never in my life have I felt this...
