Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Georgia

I was a customer at Chipotle Mexican Grill located at 4885 Sugarloaf Parkway Lawrenceville, GA 30045 today. I entered the store at approximately 12:20PM EST.

As a customer at Chipotle since approximately 2010 in various cities including but not limited to Baltimore, Brooklyn, and Atlanta.

It has been a preference for years to have the meat I order re-cooked on the grill. The purpose is to dry the meat out and to cook the Steak longer to avoid pink or red inside temperatures.

The location that I visited today is probably my most common location because it is very close to my home.

I visit this location atleast twice a week and have done so since approximately February 2019. Today when I entered the store there were four customers in front of me being served. There were two women at the register who were not busy. I respectfully went over to them both and asked could I give them my re-cooked meat request so that it could be ready when it was my turn at the counter. Typically the re-cook or additional heat time adds another two to four minutes. In an effort to avoid additional time and to be effective in my visit I thought it was smart to request especially because the two female employees were not occupied with anything else.

One of the women I believe (Gerly Hernandez) appeared to be annoyed by my request but she still did it. When I had an opportunity to step forward I proceeded to order 6 hard shell tacos and one bowl with white rice. As I explained to the male employee about my meat being on the grill she begin to discuss my order and my request with other employees. As I approached the cash register to process my order and payment I reiterated my ordered to the lady at the register to be sure it was rung in correctly. The lady Gerly came over near where we were. She then said that she was not going to serve me because of my attitude. Although, I never had an attitude. I was never rude, disruptive to others, harassing, in violation of a dress code, nor lacking adequate hygiene.

There was really an issue from the beginning of my request. She took offense and appeared to not want to assist me. I was asked to leave with no food nor was there a problem.

Her actions were unjust and came off to be very discriminatory. It was embarrassing to happen. To also be in the presence of other customers who saw this. This manager was irrational, lacked leadership, and proper handling of the request.

I look forward to hearing back regarding this egregious behavior and dynamics from a member...

I just experienced racism in this location. I made a takeout order at this location approximately at 10:35pm. The worker's name was Valeria. During checkout i asked her very kindly "may i please my free guacamole it has been advertised that i will get one free if i download the app. Valeria asked to see my phone to see the app. After couple clicks, she tells me "i don't know, i can't do anything, do you still want the guacamole?" i respond "is there any way we can check" and she stated "no". So, i paid for my meal including the guacamole. I stepped outside and entered back in to double check if i received my receipt. I go to Valeria and ask her about the receipt. She responds with obvious irritation and anger saying, "check your bag". NOW - as i walk away she blatantly states "i swear these Asian ppl be getting on my nerves yo". I turn back around, and she avoids eye contact. I did not want to make a scene so i left. The Asian community and the resident of Lawrenceville would like video recording and a audio recording of this incident. She was extremely rude; it will be obvious to see when this is reviewed by upper management. Racism will not...

Delicious food, great toppings. I would say it is a tad expensive for the amount of food you are getting but the difference in prices of the meats are decent. The restaurant has good seating, but usually the space of the store is pretty small and sometimes during busy times it might be hard to find an empty table. The food is good, take out is good, but tastes better fresh. But I would say the food holds up fine if you wait some time to transport it. I like the guacamole, but they are not consistent with how much they give. It is different every time. The meats are cooked really uniquely and taste amazing. I have tried the beer many times and it goes good with the meal. Have yet to try the margarita. Beer selection is ok. The service is good for ordering food. They are careful and usually get the right toppings you ask for when you ask more multiple at a time. I have learned though to ask one by one so that they don't end up giving you the wrong one or forget. Overall the food is good quality, service is good, and the restaurant is usually excellent in terms of cleanliness, but I would be concerned about the amount of seating...
