I purchased a Cavachon puppy from Sweet Georgia Puppy on 5/2/24 only to learn on 11/8/24 that the puppy was born with a terminal disease and it’s now 11/13/24 and I’ve NOT yet received a call back from the owner Phil as what was promised to me. I was instructed to take my puppy to their vet who also confirmed the diagnosis that my vet did. I was assured by the over that prior to any further action they would call me back after speaking with the Breeder remind you this was Saturday it’s now Wednesday they didn’t call me I’d been calling for 3 days to only learn they euthanized my puppy without contacting me first and Phil hasn’t called me yet!!!! I can’t believe this is happening they have been so insensitive to my feelings I didn’t even say good by to him he was much more than just a $$$$$ day for me he was my son what a horrible company to give you hard earned money to you DI NOT practice what you preach on you website and I’ll continue to write my review until Phil the owner contacts me and resolve this issue why in the world would I want you to replace and NOT refund my money I do trust a breeder that sells unhealthy animals!!!!! This is a NO star review not a 1 star Since this horrible experience with my first dog Smokie Sweet Georgia Puppies Phil has been nothing but understanding he gifted me another dog and here he is Bentley. Phil sends me a text several times a month just checking on him running a business I know things happen but it’s what we do to rectify them and April has done this and more Happy Holidays to you and you family Phil from my family to yours

Bought a Brishon Frise. Took him to the vet discoved he had a heart murmur. Advertising as akc -ckc. When I took him to my vet found out it was a breeders kennel club, my vet had never heard of this before. It's not that my vet is new I have used him for over 15 years. Very curious as to why the puppies could not come in contact with each other if in same facility. Confused as to why shot records were missing information. Did not get hardly any information on the puppy as far as temperament. I bought the playpen kennel that I could of gotten at Walmart 20 to 30$ cheaper the 1 they had on display had a door but the 1 you get does not. Buyer beware. My pup yeti has been checked at everyone of his appts and still has the heart murmur. Vet is concerned at this point it is congenital as just a puppy murmur as it is continually heard. To have an echo to find out what Chamber of the heart is affected Runs approximately $700. For full work up. Although we love our Yeti I sure wish I would have researched the facility more instead of the spur of the moment purchase.

We got our little guy from Sugar Sweet Georgia Puppies & had a great experience. We are normally not fans of any kind of petstore, but this one is not like Petland or other competitors in the pet selling business that seem to have lethargic and sick puppies. The store was very clean and the puppies all seemed healthy and happy. We appreciated that the owner cared about the pups health by having us sanitize and wear plastic long sleeve shirts when holding each puppy. Also, by keeping litters separated. Our puppy has a great demeanor & is very calm and quiet. We have had no health issues or concerns so far, but love that the owner gave us his number so we could reach out in the event we had any questions. The owner was knowledgeable and answered all of the questions we had and helped us pick the best puppy for our family. We love our Arlo! Thank you Sugar Sweet Georgia puppies for such a great experience.

This business is extremely backwards in how it operates, and I feel it’s important to warn others before they waste their time or money here.

Val, who is usually the first person you interact with, is consistently rude and dismissive. She changes prices frequently depending on who she’s talking to, and nothing is ever transparent. The information she gives about the puppies is generic, rehearsed, and often inaccurate. It’s obvious she doesn’t know what she’s talking about and isn’t truly knowledgeable about dogs. I’ve personally visited this place multiple times over the years, and Val’s behavior and lack of professionalism have always been the same.

Their financing is a trap. They push customers to sign paperwork quickly without explaining that you’re agreeing to pay massive interest rates, sometimes doubling the cost of the dog. Once you sign, you’re locked in, and they benefit while you’re stuck paying far more than the dog is worth.

If your puppy becomes sick from a congenital or genetic condition (which happens often given the questionable breeders they use), don’t expect any help. They avoid calls, pass you around, and repeatedly say “the owner will call you back” — but he rarely, if ever, does. On the rare occasion you do get him on the phone, his attitude is rude, explosive, and unapologetic. Instead of offering empathy or solutions, he talks down to customers.

The owner puts on a fake, polished personality for marketing videos and in front of new customers, but his true behavior shows when the cameras are off. He is rude, short-tempered, and even verbally abusive to his own employees. I personally overheard him yelling at a young staff member in the back — completely unprofessional. From what I’ve observed and heard from others, he treats employees with the same lack of respect and care that he shows customers.

The way they house their dogs is concerning. Puppies are kept in wire cages without blankets, bedding, or comfort, even in cold months. Once puppies reach 4 months, some are left in cages too small for their size. Vaccinations are not done by a licensed veterinarian, which is not only unethical but dangerous for the puppies’ health. Their constant claims that their dogs are not from puppy mills are simply false — I have met and seen two of the breeders they work with firsthand, and the conditions were absolutely puppy mill operations.

The only two people at this establishment who seem genuine are the IT gentleman and the owner’s wife. His wife, in particular, is kind and attentive to the puppies, and it’s clear she does care. Unfortunately, her efforts are overshadowed by the dishonesty, lack of transparency, and poor treatment of both animals and people at this business.

Between the misleading financing, the dismissive customer service, the lack of real support if your puppy gets sick, the inhumane housing conditions, and the dishonesty about their breeders, this place is a nightmare disguised as a puppy store. I’ve spoken with friends and read other reviews that confirm the exact same experiences I’ve had.

Take this as your warning: Sugar Sweet Georgia Puppies is not the caring, family-run establishment they want you to believe. Do not waste your time, your money, or risk...

If you can Help it "DO NOT USE THEIR FINANCING". it's definitely a trap. It fits the definition of "PREDATORY LENDING"

If you are considering financing your new furry friend, apply for that first before snuggling up to a pup.

The Trap IF after you snuggle up to a pup and decide excitingly on a new family member…then you apply for the financing, you are trapped. You have already fallen in love with your new family member and can’t wait to take them home.

Oh Rapture! You're offered a discount…NICE! You apply for financing. You’re approved; you had no reason to believe that wouldn’t be. You’re approved for the exact amount of the pup after the generous discount …Plus $EXTRA?

So you figure you were approved for even more than you need to purchase the pup, but only what you need will be financed, since that is what you were quoted for the pup WITH the discount...right? NOPE! Let’s see you were approved for this amount, but end up financing another amount even though that’s a higher amount than you were quoted for the pup …with the discount. Even saying it another way still means you end up financing more than you needed to.

As you review the contract you notice this very high interest rate and payments OVER $200 dollars for 24 months. What? Even with interest the pup should be paid off in12 months for OVER $200 a month, not 24 months.

Then you consider paying off the loan within 90 days; you figure you’ll save some money doing that, but then after you sign the contract there is another $100.00 Down payment, that does not end up going towards your loan. You just gave Sugar Sweet Georgia Puppies another $100.00 because they said you needed to as a down payment.

So you think well I can still save some money anyway from this gouge by paying it off in 90 days….NOPE . The pay in full in 90 days is NOT the same as cash. During those 90 days, interest is accruing every day from the day you sign the contract in the store; or as they put it "the day the contract is executed".

In the FAQ’s there is a question; "will my account accrue interest during the 90 day period?" The Finance Company's response is: "YES, but it will be no more than $40 for the whole 90" days….NOPE again. I am on day 8 since my financing and I have already accrued over $45.00 interest. So when I pay off this loan in the 90 days or less I will still owe a couple hundred depending on how much I can bring the balance down after each payment. within that 90 days.

Although a lovable puppy I feel mislead/hoodwinked. Remember to check the Kennel club Registration. It may not be what you want for the price you will pay, especially if you are financing. The kennel club registration may be no more significant than if there were no papers which could mean the pup would have cost much less from a breeder, selling the pup without papers.

The Chips in the puppies have no noted manufacturer. So when you register the chip it’s whatever chip you want to say it is. Take advantage of the complimentary Vet visit offer, to ensure your pup does not have worms. However, there is ALWAYS an upsale when something "free" is offered.

I gave one star because you have to give at least one and the...

For the most part, I enjoyed the employees and thought they were very friendly and caring. However, I did not enjoy the actual "sale" experience. I'll just follow with the facts:

Before going in store I asked the price range of the dog I was looking for. Through text, I received no answer, but through email they said $2500-3000. I believe these were two different people. The person I texted then said if I went in that day, they would give me a great deal, so I did. When I got there, she said the pup was $2500, down from $3500 and that this was the best deal they could do. I left because I wasn't sure I wanted to pay that amount.

I came in the next day to see the puppy again. A different woman was there this time and she was extremely friendly and seemed great. She immediately told me the breed I was looking for were normally $3200 but were currently on sale for $2500. She also said they would consider price matching. I immediately lost some trust in the store.

I am not a confrontational person and am rather shy, so I felt uncomfortable at this point about what to do. Unfortunately, the woman left and the other woman from the previous day came back. And when I asked her about the price matching she kind of disregarded it and then went to "check with her manager" to see what they could do. Instead of saying anything about price matching, she reduced the price by $150 and said that's all they could do. Which would normally be fine, if she hadn't already lied about the initial price and the "great deal".

In the end, the puppy was exactly what I was looking for (temperament, color, etc.) so I agreed to purchase him for that price. If that weren't the case, I would have walked away. I felt like it was a rather poor experience because of the person I was dealing with. I felt uncomfortable and awkward most of the time I was there. The woman didn't try to even make small talk or really engage with me as a person. She just seemed more interested in the sale than providing a great experience. Again, I will say, everyone else seemed amazing. But I didn't want to rate on the experience I could have had. I love the dog I got and am happy with him. I just wasn't very happy with...
