I’m not sure what happened but the food quality has decreased. I spent over $80 to feed my family of 5 and when I got home, my entire family including myself was highly disappointed. Our food was not good. I was getting baked chicken but it looked so dry when the lady placed it in my to go box so I told her to just give us all The fried chicken. The fried chicken did look a little dry but they had no other meats to choose from. The line was not stocked like they normally have it. Something told me to just leave because I just had a feeling the food wasn’t going to be good but I stayed because I’ve had food from here a few times and it was pretty decent. When we got home to eat, OMG ALL of our chicken was dry. Soooo dry that we couldn’t even eat it. We couldn’t even pick through it to find pieces that were good enough to eat. I couldn’t even feed it to my dog. The veggies weren’t good either. I called the restaurant no answer and I left a message, no phone call back. Money down the drain. I will not be visiting this...
Read moreNice staff & large selection. The food leaves something to be desired. I had mac, greens and fried chicken tenders. I guess this is the difference between southern comfort food and soul food(to be fair, they dont claim to be SF). There is enough salt but it lacks flavor from herbs, shallots, onions, garlic, etc. The Mac looked really good in the steamer... upon tasting it, it had enough salt but it was loose and the noodles were over cooked. Just like some of the other reviews stated, yes the chicken was dry. Over all the feel of the restaurant is like a smaller Picadilly if you are old enough to remember those or live close to one. It was a couple of bucks over priced for the portion. It's a high volume and friendly setting. I'd try it again, but I'm skipping the...
Read moreThe place was super crowded on a Sunday around 130pm. The table set up was too close and that's the only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5. The fried/ baked chicken was good, and so was the mac&cheese, candied yams, limal beans and string beans. We had a family of four and we all tried different veggies. The collards and corn were subpar, but the cornbread, mexican cornbread, roll and biscuits were all good. The banana pudding and peach cobbler were bomb and the prices are reasonable. Kids meals are 4.25 for one meat and 2 veggies or 3 veggies and adults are 7.50 for a meat and 2 veggies or 3 veggies. Service was quick and very friendly. Drinks were not overpriced and may the cheapest I've seen. Will...
