Thai Chariot Restaurant — Restaurant in Georgia

I decided to give this place a try because the reviews were pretty decent but I do not recommend wasting your time with this place. I placed a delivery order through UberEats and waited an hour for the order to be prepared. I eventually called up to the restaurant just as UberEats cancelled the order stating the restaurant was unable to fulfill it after they sent 4 drivers to pick up the order. During the call I asked if the order was ready and was told that yes it was and 4 drivers had already come to try to deliver it but they would make sure the next driver received it. I stated that because UberEats had already cancelled the order I would come to the restaurant to pick it up myself. I asked if the order would be ready when I got there since I had already been told that it was ready to be handed to the delivery driver and the person I was speaking with said yes. It would be ready. Upon arrival I walked in to ask for my order only to be asked if I had contacted UberEats because the order was given to the first driver who showed up.

Between the contradictory stories and the poor service (because it doesn’t matter who the order was given to. I called and said that I was coming personally to get the order so it should’ve been prepared after that discussion was had) this restaurant is NOT worth the...

This was our first time ordering from Thai Chariot and we were impressed! First of all, their website was super-easy to navigate and to place our order. As we did takeout, we immediately noticed the way they packaged our food in a nicely folded brown paper bag, and the way that the food was placed inside containers-very differnt from what we're used to. The service was so friendly, and the atmosphere very peaceful. We'll definitely consider eating inside next time! The food was excellent! We tried several dishes just to see how they were prepared and each and every item was very satisfying. The spring rolls were ample and very fresh. The calamari was firm, meaty and not greasy-a plus! Same for the crab rangoon-not greasy and actually fresher and more flavorable than what we're used to. The pad thai was some of the best we've had, as was the masaman tofu. The level of spices and flavors for each dish just seemed to be perfectly blended. The food items had very clean flavors and ingredients and we were impressed and will defintely be returning again and again! ...

Food was decent. Could be a little more flavorful. Asked for chicken with only a few vegetables cause restaurants are notorious for doing exactly this. $12 for 5 pieces of chicken and the rest is barely edible beans. If I wanted a bean dish, I would’ve ordered a bean dish. I would suggest getting orders correct and maybe giving people some chicken when they ordered chicken. Also takeout time was way off. 15 min time frame turned into a 30 min wait. I wanted to give this place a higher rating, but they still need improvement. Decent for Mcdonough though.

Edit: Gave them a few weeks and went again & it was so worth the second chance! Order was on Point, ready by the time I got there, much more flavorful, much more meat, & still the same great service. Oh and I LOVE that they put their hot rice in a foil vs directly on the styrofoam. 99% of places just put hot foods directly on the foam and you’re basically eating some polystyrene along with your meal. This place doesn’t. It’s the small things. Can’t wait to try the rest...
