Customer service is MAJORLY LACKING. Do not order online like I did if you have a sick child and plan for curbside pickup where you pull up and they bring it out to you. I have never had an issue with pulling up to the curb sign and calling to give my name for pickup until tonight OF ALL NIGHTS that I'm in my husbands old '97 truck that only locks on one side with a sick toddler buckled in the back. I called and gave them my name. They said thanks and hung up. Seeing that no one was moving from behind the counter to bring out my order, I called back to see if they could put some extra peppers in the box, but before I could even say anything, the lady answered the phone with "Yeah, you'll have to come in and get your order. It isn't listed as a carryout." I said.... "It is not listed as delivery which was the only other option. I ordered on the website. All I have ever done was call when I arrive and wait for the pizza to be brought to me." She responds with, "It is not our fault you did not press the right button." I asked, "What button needed to be pressed? There was Carryout or Delivery. I have a sick child in the back. You really want me to bring him in all snotty and hacking?" She said, "Yeah. I mean that would be just like a regular transaction." So, I unbuckle us both walk the 5 feet to their door to grab the pizza from them. There were at least 8 people in there! I ask the male employee that handed me the box what specific option or button I should have pushed for the curbside pickup, and he didn't know either. Also... if your kids are not around CUSS words, don't take them inside! Just a little respect and courtesy goes a long way; tonight... they didn't have it. Next time I will tip in person vs on my card at the time the order is placed! (The pizza was cold by the way and I only live 5 minutes from this McDonough...
Read moreThe pizza is fine. Itâs the customer service and side items that are lacking.
I ordered garlic knots. The garlic butter leaked over everything and the employee still brought it out to me. In her defense, she offered to get me napkins, but that was like trying to clean an oil spill with a Q-tip. Still, it was only on the pizza boxes and I decided to just take it and go because I was hungry. That was a mistake. When I got home, there was literally no garlic butter left with the garlic knots and the knots were very burnt.
I brought the pizza and knots back to the store and explained everything. First, he tried to tell me that he could make me more garlic knots, but theyâd leak again because of faulty boxing materials. Considering Iâd gotten them before, I knew this was likely a lie, but I let it slide. Then he tried to tell me my black knots were not burnt. That was ridiculous. Even after I said if thatâs the best they could do with the knots, I didnât want them, he was going to make another batch just to show me that mine were not actually burnt. I had to explain that I wasnât interested in him proving to me he could burn knots twice, but it was shocking how determined he was to try to prove that black garlic knots are not burnt.
I asked him just to refund the cost of the knots. He said he could not do that because the system didnât allow partial refunds. I guess he just wasnât smart enough to figure out how to do a full refund and then re-enter the order without garlic knots. Eventually, I settled for replacing them with breadsticks.
When I told him I also wanted him to remake the pizza because itâs cold after having to deal with bringing things back. He did it, but he showed his obvious...
Read moreBy far the absolute worst experience with Papa Johnâs ever. We ordered our pizza online and was given a delivery time. Once I realized that the pizza was never delivered I looked on the app to see that it was cancelled by the store. I had to place another order to get my pizza, I then called the customer service number to complain. Was told I would get a call to rectify the matter in 48 hrs. Didnât receive the call so I followed up with them, the rep stated that I would have to wait 3-5 business days for my refund. I was also informed that for the inconvenience, that I have an in-store credit. When I called the store to redeem my store credit the clerk was nice but the manager was very nasty to me, at first the manager didnât want to honor the store credit, I calmly explained to them that it was a huge inconvenience and this mistake was something that wasnât our fault I had to pay twice that night, they didnât even notify us on why they cancelled our order. Although I was still calm, The manager started yelling at me that the corporate customer service reps shouldnât have told me that I had a store credit and they canât do that, so as she was still yelling she decided to provide the credit and charged me for the drink. I paid for the drink over the phone, once the delivery guy came he was trying to say I never paid. I had to show him proof and he still looked at me and was saying I didnât pay. Canât make this stuff up. This store definitely makes Papa Johnâs establishment look very unprofessional...
