Dairy Queen Grill & Chill Hickory Flat — Restaurant in Georgia

This location has really gone down. A previous visit only the drive through was open. On this recent visit the store is supposed to open at 11:00am and the worker arrived right at 11:00am. A 2nd worker arrived around 11:10am. A 3rd worker at 11:50. I don't see how you can be ready to operate if you arrive when the store opens and not at least 30 minutes before opening. We were told it would take a little longer because the grease takes about 15 minutes to get hot. We ordered a fish sandwich and onion rings. In the past they are so hot you have to let it cool off some. This time it wasn't piping hot it was just warm. My husband ordered a blizzard and they didn't bring it out (we sat outside). He had to go in and get it and it was sitting on the counter. We were given our cups for drinks and when we tried to get our drink it sprayed everywhere. I went to the counter and she said we have to put the spouts on (smh). We have always loved DQ but from here on out we will be going to another location. The food didn't taste old or bad but if I had read the reviews before we went we wouldn't have visited this location. I don't see this location surviving unless major changes happen.

Eff this place. Management doesnt know how to clean. The bread is soggy because it's pretoasted both burger buns and toast in the basket with the chix. Yep. Preloaded then shoved back into a bag hot which creates a bunch of moisture and causes bacteria to build up. On top of that they are frying everything in 2 week old oil that is blacker than the night sky, they dont clean down the chill part except once a week. No hats needed, so hair in everything. Nothing is dated rotated or marked in any fashion beyond what's on the line and even then barely. They dont clean. One former worker posted about how she got told "we dont do that" when cleaning the grill. Apparently they dont believe in cleaning. Oh and the poster has picture proof of all the healthcode violations. I wouldn't eat here unless you are willing to risk food poisoning. Find a different dairy queen guys cause this one...

Warning to all ubereats drivers and customers this place is very disorganized and does not know the meaning of the term fast food. Three times I have tried to pick up old is here and all three times they have either been unable to make the order or I'm willing to make it. they hadn't even started the order by the time I arrived bearing in mind drivers aren't normally summoned until the order is at least 20 minutes and then it took me 15 minutes to get there so in 35 minutes they still hadn't even started the order and worst of all there was not a single car in their drive-thru. This is unfortunate as I like dairy Queen however I cannot utilize this location anymore for either ubereats or as a customer myself until these issues are resolved I encourage management to take a close look at operations at this store.
