We arrived at 7 am. When we were seated we noticed that the music was very loud. We politely asked the manager on duty if it was possible to reduce the volume. He said a lot of people think it’s loud in here and he pointed toward the ceiling which could reflect noise. He told us that even if he turned it down all the way, he wasn’t sure if it would change the volume. He tried.
He came back a few minutes later, and the volume was slightly less, but it was still loud. My guest and I could barely hear each other talk without speaking loudly.
I ordered Eggs Benedict. Not only did my eggs Benedict arrive with the eggs on cold ham and cold English muffin, the ham was lunch meat style ham that’s thin, sliced, and used to make sandwiches. It was not Canadian or better quality ham. It was lunchmeat ham. The eggs were like warm. I should have sent it back.
I was really disappointed because I’ve eaten at another First Watch and my breakfast was good.
I didn’t say anything to the manager at that time because we had to get to work. I thought about it later and decided I need to make management aware rather than just not going back. I’m giving this feedback so you can enhance your customers experience. I realize that there are off days and I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble. The server did a good job. The issue was loud noise and a cold and...
Read moreOK, sure, they have been open for almost 2 months, but service staff are not at the top of their game as I have come to know other First Watch locations. There were many tables available, but were first shown to a little table right by the kitchen. So we requested a better location. Then we sat there for over 10 minutes and had to ask for help to get coffee. This should be the first thing offered seconds after your butt hits the seat. When she came with coffee she said she did not see us there. Well, you have to come out to the room and observe the area. While we were waiting for our breakfast to come we witnessed staff disorganized and not focused. Even a couple of them standing by the register chit chatting. You should always be doing something. Especially first thing in the morning. For example, the silverware was spotty like you get in a cheap diner. Polish it up while wrapping in napkins. Food was good but wife's pancakes were not warm enough and their potatoes that I love were not cooked enough. We were some of the first customers that morning so no excuse for this service or food not on par. Do better First Watch as we love your...
Read moreIf you like going on a Sunday and don’t mind waiting a long time, this place is for you.
From brunch to when they close, they have no concept of time.
You’ll wait, wait some more, drink the free coffee, wait a little more, then wait, wait a long time after that and then when you feel like asking where you are in line, you’ll get more free coffee and have to use the restroom.
Once you come out, you’ll wait a little longer. About the time your kids start bugging you about waiting, you won’t recognize them because they’re now in college. They were in middle school when you put your name in.
Once you get seated, you’ll wait even longer for your food. They’ll do their absolute best to rush it out…but since they evidently don’t care about troubleshooting their waiting issues, guess what you’ll be doing? Yep!
You eventually get your food, but it’ll be very subpar. Why? Because they rushed it.
My only question is this: Has Carmen Rundell visited this store since it opened?
Okay, lookout for the feckless message from the...
