Mellow Mushroom Marietta - Johnson Ferry — Restaurant in Georgia

UPDATE on 7/13/22 - New General Manager (GM) called me about my review from 7/5. We discussed the issues. We decided to go back to MM. Four of us tried MM again on 7/12/22. Food was excellent! They got my Italian sub right, two pizzas were perfect, and the appetizers were wonderful. Server as awesome. I'll be going back! PREVIOUS review - Went to Mellon Mushroom on 7/5 with my wife and son. I ordered the Italian sub with Tater Tots. The tater tots were frozen. Not room temperature, they were frozen. I'm not sure what is going on with this location. It was one of my favorite restaurants in Marietta. The time before this, we ordered beer and after 15 minutes the server came back and told us the keg was out. We weren't upset the keg was out, but that it took 15 minutes to tell us. I'm done with them for awhile. Our server on 7/5 was Luke. He did a good job and I gave him over 20%, but they seem to have bar/kitchen issues they need to...

I don’t know why my fiance loves mellow mushroom. I kept refusing to go cause the last location we went to was BAD. She convinced me though and we hit the jackpot with our server Megan. She was amazing. So quick with bringing our drinks and food. So pleasant to speak too. Great recommendations . Very knowledgeable. Honest with her opinion. She rocked. Loved the food today. We had their margarita with the casa amigos blanco and the Super Pep pizza which is their 50th anniversary special. She recommended the wings sweet and chili and hot sauce and those were really good. My fiance got a Greek salad cause she wanted cucumbers 🤣🤣🤣 but well. Anyway. What Meghan doesn’t know is we’ve had a really rough and sad week and sometimes being served this way and encountering nice people can really make your day....

Absolutely wonderful pizza and sides and foods! Always brought out quickly and fresh, even when busy! This Mellow Mushroom has the same great options as other Mellow Mushroom locations, but where they really excel is the staff!

Every time we go here ( me (the dad), and my wife, and my two young children (2yo and 5 months old)) every single staff member has been SUPER friendly and kind to us and our kids. Makes you NOT feel like everyone in the establishment is wishing we weren’t there due to us bringing children (if you’re a parent of young children you know what I’m talking about). Quite the contrary, they seem more than pleased to have us as a family at Mellow Mushroom.
