Great first impressions! Love this practice and the staff!

Background: My husband and I have been talking about me getting braces for years (Never had them) and when we found out that our insurance is changing soon, we decided it was time to take the plunge. Because my job requires public speaking, I was highly interested in Invisalign, but I wasn’t sure whether I was a candidate because of my teeth crowding and because I’m an adult who’s never had braces. My dentist referred me to Dr. Levin and told me that he is an expert at adult Invisalign. I checked with my soon to be old insurance and new insurance and he was in network with both plans, so I decided to give his office a shot.

Experience: From the first phone call to Levin Ortho, everything has been a smooth ride. The receptionist was very kind and welcoming and answered all of my questions. They happened to have a cancellation on the same day, so they fit me right in for my (free!) consultation. They have online initial intake forms, so I did those ahead of time to save time. When I arrived, they took my temperature and had me sign some paperwork basically certifying that I was not COVID positive. Everyone wore masks and the office was immaculately clean, so I felt very comfortable and safe in the environment. I had a brief discussion with the blonde lady (forgot her name 😬) about what I wanted to see from my treatment and my concerns and we got straight to the scans and pictures! They have new scanners and tech, so that process was a breeze and we did not have to do that yucky molding stuff to get an impression of my teeth. After the scans and pictures, Dr. Levin came in and discussed my treatment plan. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. He explained all the possibilities that could happen during my treatment and I felt very informed about the process. Both he and the blonde lady took time to make sure I was fully informed and comfortable about everything- I never felt rushed at all. We also discussed the fees and the treatment plan and I was very happy with the quote. I always thought that braces would be expensive, especially Invisalign, but they turned out pretty affordable! Bonus: they take most dental insurances and they work out an interest free payment plan. I can’t believe that I’ve been putting off Invisalign this entire time- I should have gone in sooner. The billing lady also answered my many questions and could not have been nicer. I explained that I needed to get the Invisalign as soon as possible to maximize my current insurance benefit, so they even expedited the process. Sure enough, Dr. Levin submitted my treatment plan shortly and even personally called me to let me know about possible updates to my treatment and the timeline for my trays. I am waiting for them to come and I am so excited to begin my journey! I’ve spent years hiding my smile and I cannot wait to confidently show it off!

Also, I liked the practice so much, I referred my sister there. She sent me a quote from her dentist (read: not a board certified orthodontist and Invisalign specialist like Dr. Levin) and his quote was several thousand dollars higher than Dr. Levin! Also, I was shocked to see that my sister’s dentist didn’t even do the monthly payment plan and had her pay the entire balance in 3 months. I told her to run away from her dentist and head straight to Levin Ortho. What can I say? Levin Ortho set the bar very high!

TLDR: If you’re looking for orthodontic care, look no further than Levin Ortho. Dr. Levin is board certified (very important- only 30% of orthodontists reach this distinction), highly experienced in Invisalign (especially for adults), and takes good care of his patients. His prices are affordable, he accepts most dental insurances, and does a pay in full discount or can break it up into interest free monthly payments. His staff is incredibly friendly, they answer all questions and help you feel informed, and the office is immaculate. Excellent Care/ Great Staff We have 2 boys who are under the care of Dr. Katz for their orthodontic needs. Both kids have over bites and need their jaws fixed with the Herbst appliance and they need their teeth straightened. One son has had his appliance since October 2016 and needed his jaw moved 12 mm. The average person needs 2-3 mm correction. So our son is on the extreme side of needing correction. As of March 2017, he is almost fully corrected. Dr. Katz removed the plungers off the sides for a few months to see if the jaw would move back and it has not. Our second son, has a small palate and it needs to be expanded, he will also have the same Herbst appliance. He just started his treatment this month March 2017. Both boys treatment plan is 18-24 months to complete the correction of the bite and straighten the teeth.

We are very pleased with Dr. Katz bedside manner, especially with the son who cannot stand having anyone in his mouth. She has been patient, kind and encouraging with him. Dr. Katz even took time with him to explain how the process works, the engineering and the technology with him. He was fascinated by the Sure Smile technology, where a robot bends the wire based on computer imaging.

Do I recommend Dr. Katz?? YES! She and her staff are friendly and easy to work with. Go for a free evaluation today and listen to her professionalism and honesty. Also, the finance piece was super easy to work out with her accounting/billing staff. They clearly laid out what our insurance would pay and our portion. They also gave us the option to use our flex spending and spread out payments over 18 months. The whole process is easy and more affordable than we ever thought!

Last thing, how many doctors call you personally from their cell phone to follow up with how your child is doing?? Not many, but Dr. Katz does because she truly cares about her patients!! We highly recommend Innovative Orthodontics, without any...
