Oh my oh my oh my! Where do I began with this escapade. I asked what something was in the food laid out at the counter. I was told it was Salisbury steak. I thought, I havenโt had that in a long time. Mostly because no one cooks it anymore. So I said Iโll try it. I went with okra and black eyed peas to round it out.
Well, letโs start with black eyed peas. They were very good. They even seemed fresh, even though Iโd never aged theyโre frozen. I was impressed! The okra however was another story. They were clearly frozen. It was the chewiest okra Iโve ever ver had! And Iโm not talking about older okra that is just hard to chew because of the plant material just being tough. I mean it was chewy like chewing gum. I peat okra Iโve had in years!! Then to the โsteakโ. Iโm not sure the hell the โsteakโ is. Iโm not sure if it was meat, vegetable, or even organic at all. It was mushy and just horrible!! The only thing that helped was copious amounts of gravy. Rest assured Iโll not be back.
The reason for 2 stars is because the people were friendly. Service was quick, although I came early and no one was in line. The place was clean although dated.
I noticed a sign talking about potentially raising the cost because produce prices were going up. Guess what? If you buy plates and silverware instead of giving everyone to go boxes and utensils, your prices would go down. The cost per patron...

When I walked in, I noticed that it was clean, with customers sitting quietly at tables waiting for their orders. The cashier, which I presume is the owner, was upbeat and friendly. I wasn't sure what I wanted because it was my first time there, but he was patient with me. I ultimately decided on a #3, which is a meat (I chose bacon), biscuit w/ gravy, and eggs. However, I decided to do the most, so I had them add double hashbrowns๐ฅ๐ฅ, extra eggs ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ, extra gravy, and extra bacon ๐ฅ๐ฅ and hold the shame!!! Lol ๐ Food came out hot and fresh in less than 7 minutes. The scrambled eggs were cooked just right, the hashbrowns weren't dry and actually better than Waffle House's, the gravy was seasoned just right and not extra salty like most spots!๐ง๐ตโ๐ซ The biscuit was nice and soft with enough density not to give in to the gravy bath it was soaking in! ๐ ๐๐ฟ I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes a good ole traditional breakfast at a good price! I'm definitely putting them in my breakfast rotation! ๐บ๐ธ ๐ซก๐ณ๐ฅ๐ง
