Edit to owner’s response: That is untrue. The bar was fully open when you allowed the couple to be seated at the 4 person table when they came in after us. I am not tarnishing the business; I am writing about my personal experience dining here because it was so unpleasant. The server barely talked to us the entire time we were eating, but she talked to almost everyone else she served. That is why it felt discriminatory.

Short summary: The experience felt very discriminatory and the food is not good enough to be dealing with the horrible service.

Long story: I came with a friend for dinner. The server was very rude, and she would barely acknowledge us the whole time.

When we walked in, she told us we couldn’t sit in at a certain table because it’s for 4 people. But another couple came in right after us, and she let them sit at the 4 person table. They were walk-ins — it wasn’t reserved.

We had to raise our hands the whole time to be able to order, ask for water, ask for the check, pay the check, etc. She was attending to everyone else but us.

The food was extremely average (I’ve had a lot better). I do not recommend...

Overall poor experience. When we entered we weren’t greeted or show to a table. When we asked if could sit at a particular table we were told no but someone else was allowed to be seated there. The people who arrived after us were able to order and receive the food before we even received our water. The wait staff was inattentive and I had to really try to get a hold of someone even to place an order. For the sushi we got shrimp tempura and it was mid at best. In the menu the roll is supposed to have cucumbers but our dish had zero cucumbers. I was looking forward to trying this place cause I had heard good things from a friend but I was let down overall by the food, and the service. I normally give generous tips as I know the wait staff works very hard but this time I didn’t because we weren’t tended to. So it’s okay to make the comment about the zero tip, but don’t expect a tip if you’re not gonna provide a...

The restaurant was small, but not set up crowded. It has cozy atmosphere without feeling cramped. The Sushi Combo I got was some of the best I have ever had. (And I like to try new Sushi places) the Sea Eel was superb! The serving sizes where very nice, sometimes it felt like there was a bit too much fish on the Sushi roll, but I always wanted more after every bite. I sat at the Sushi Bar and the chef was very friendly, there where two or even three dinners who he and the staff knew well, and they talked freely and presented a great feeling of welcomeness! He was excited to answer the questions I asked him, especially about his excellent food! I look forward to going here whenever I have the opportunity or...

We visited for the first time on a Saturday night. The good news is the place is packed. The bad news is they are very short-staffed. I am a sushi rookie just learning about the basics so we sat at the bar to watch. All the dishes were suggested by the chef/owner and were very good. The fish was fresh and of high quality. We had Tuna Poke, Tuna Tower, and a Spicy Salmon Roll. The only reason I may not return is the lack of adult beverages. They do not have a wine or beer list/menu. When I asked about wine our server told us they had one unknown white wine. It was $10 a glass. She named some Japanese beers that were $11 each. We passed. I did not see anyone in the restaurant with a drink. Am I missing something?

Today, I had the pleasure of eating at Kitani Sushi, located near Cumming, Georgia. The place is cozy and has a very traditional Japanese feel—it’s not very big, but that’s what makes it charming. The restaurant is run by an Asian family, and the service was excellent. The food was very fresh and flavorful. I tried the Tuna Tower, a Shrimp Tempura Roll, and a Dragon Roll—all of them were delicious and prepared with great quality. The freshness really stood out, and the flavors were well-balanced. It’s definitely a spot worth returning to, and I highly recommend it to everyone looking for an authentic Japanese experience in the area.

We went here to celebrate and it was a great decision! We have been here several times and have ALWAYS been pleased! Today was no exception. We arrived shortly after they opened at 5 pm and there were already a few people there. This is a family owned and operated restaurant, btw. We always sit at the end of the bar and watch the amazing sushi chef make rolls. One of the specials is an appetizer called double tuna. It is excellent. Do NOT put the tuna chunks in soy sauce. Just eat them as presented. Its just a wonderful friendly please to go and indulge!
