I found this place a few months ago looking for pizza places nearby. Little did I know it would be some of the best pizza I have had a in a long time. I have not been to Anticos or Partners yet in Woodstock, but this was excellent. Definitely worth the 4.7 rating that is on google.
The first time we went we had the Neapolitan with pepperoni. I think the larges were in the $18-$20 which is pretty standard. Good size pie, great balances of flavors from the sauce, meat and cheese, not too much grease, so you do not need to pat a napkin down or paper towel if you are one of those folks. The crust has a good crunch. I did not anticipate how filling the large pizza would be as we had leftovers for the two of us.
Both times we went got the Garlic knots, which I would highly recommend not to hard or too doughy. they can stand on their own without the sauce.
The pictures are from my second trip there.
I really appreciated the owner making us feel welcome visiting. Letting us know about the business being in the family for along time. He seemed to know and build rapport with the customers. He gave us a few coupons, like rewards points towards a free pie. Great customer service, primarily take out as I am not sure if...
Read moreOne of a kind in Georgia. Our first visit we tried a pepperoni Pizza with Knots and an order of the baked cheese ravioli. The pizza is very distinct with heavy tomato flavor, quality cheese, and a true NY style crust. Raviolis reminded me of home made with their taste and quality. They are better than most any Italian joint charging twice the price. The knots are the best I've ever had, bar none. Multiple people came in to compliment the pizza as true NY staple while we ate in the lobby. I've had everything pizza wise in the north Atlanta area from Fellini's, Partners, Mad Italian, PLP, Crust and many others. I would say the pizza is second only to Antico, and that's mainly because it feels heavier on the tomato taste, which can sometimes overpower the rest of the flavors. People who prefer "tomato pie" style flavors will absolutely love it. The only other criticism I can level is that the lobby is small and since this pizza is best enjoyed fresh that makes it a difficult proposition when busy. Still a true five star, top of the stack pizza and one of the two best I've ever had in GA....
Read moreOkay here's the deal- this is the best pizza in East Cobb, hands down. It is fresh, flavorful, and delicious! ....But I do have to agree with others that the place does not look super clean. I don't think I would eat in the restaurant. (I'm not rubbing my finger on the floor so can't tell if this is due to lack of upkeep or actual dirt.) They do have an A rating, so I just look the other way. However, please keep in mind, I am 100% willing to risk it to get the biscuit (aka those garlic knots). They are light and fluffy covered in parmesan with oh so fresh marinara sauce. DELICIOUS. We also frequent the margherita and meat pizza and have yet to be disappointed.
This is a Mom and Pop kinda place with kind employees and great service. I've asked a lot of questions over the phone and have always been given patience and courtesy.
Plus, you get coupons when you order a whole pizza that build to give you a free pizza.
Labella's is our game day go-to meal. Everyone loves it and so do we!
Slightly unrelated... Speed bumps in that parking lot are...
