Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Marietta

Update 9/25/19: My previous review (about missing drinks on the last two visits) was changed to the Shallowford location, by someone else?? And as a Google Local Guide, I know I chose Sprayberry for my original review. Going back to post this most recent visit update, I realized my CFA review had temporarily disappeared only to reappear later! A Manager had also posted a reply to my Review (now their reply is nowhere to be found on my original review) with a phone number telling me to "use their name during my next visit" (so I can get extra special treatment from the teenagers left running the place? No thanks!) How about just making it right by sending customers free meal coupons like the good old days?

Back to my most recent visit on 9/25/19: Visited drive thru around 8pm. 2 out of 2 orders were wrong. I ordered two meals and paid more for a deluxe sandwich only to be given ZERO cheese with lettuce and tomato. The other meal was supposed to be 8-ct GRILLED nuggets (I paid more for the grilled meal too) but they gave me the fried MSG nuggets instead (a proven migraine trigger for me). Waffle fries were not filled to the top of the containers (sizes M and L), they were lukewarm and a few of mine tasted stale. I will save my review this time and keep reposting if my review is altered again. Management needs to fix the quality control problems at the Sprayberry location. Do customers really have to start checking inside all of the food (open the sandwiches and boxes up, in the drive thru), to make sure we get what we're paying for? We shouldn't have to do someone else's job too. Done...

I have been going to this location since we moved here in 1991 and know the operator Scott Reed as both my daughters are UGA Grads. I often stop on the way home for a cup of ice cream that i freeze for a while and ask politely that they fill the cup as often I get home and there is a whole lot of air in the cup. In order to avoid this, I ask that the cup be tapped down to get a full cup. Imagine my surprise when I was told by the employee filling the order this evening, his name was Scott too, that there would be an additional charge to fill the cup as i requested. In 20+ years i have never been told that. To further the situation, when I said that was unprecedented, Scott told me with a straight face that it was CFA policy! Funny in 20+ years I have never heard of such a policy from ANY employee at any other CFA. The money was not the issue, the fact that Scott who appeared to be 16 years old is quoting a non-existent CFA policy. I can sit at a CFA for 2 hours and have drink refills virtually unlimited, but I get charged for a non-refill. This is one of the best places you could possibly go for lunch. Although you're going to pay a little more than a normal lunch special type joint, you get more than what you pay for in service and quickness.

It's rare to see so much dedication and cheerfulness in a fast food place, but if you're wanting to see that, this is the place to go. Several times when I have been here I was waited on while eating at a table. Employees would offer to get me a refill, more napkins, some more ketchup, etc, while I was seated - not something you commonly find in a fast food joint.

The manager is almost always front and center, smiling, greeting people, and helping out the other employees. You'd hardly know he wasn't a regular employee if it wasn't for the name tag and manager attire.

The service speed is very good; I hardly have to wait for my food when I order here. I commonly turn around, grab some ketchup and napkins, and then turn around again to receive my food as they're bringing it out. On the few occasions it's taken longer than 10 seconds, they would offer to bring it out to me while I was seated.

Haven't had a bad batch of food yet; it's always been good.
