Los Charros Restaurant – Unacceptable Handling of a Health Hazard I never expected to write a review like this, but what happened during our recent visit to Los Charros Restaurant left us completely shocked and disappointed. What started as a simple night out which we enjoyed there every Tuesday turned into an appalling experience due to negligence and an utter lack of accountability. While enjoying our meal, I discovered a string—yes, an actual string—floating in my drink. At first, I thought I was seeing things. But sure enough, it was there, fully visible and clearly not something that belonged anywhere near a beverage. Which I’m starting to feel sick because of. This wasn’t a small oversight; it was a serious hygiene issue. One that could easily make a guest question what else might be happening behind the scenes in the kitchen or bar. Naturally, we brought it to the attention of the staff, expecting at the very least an apology and a replacement. But instead of taking responsibility, they chose to blame us—implying that we must have somehow caused it ourselves. Not only was this dismissive and unprofessional, it was insulting. We weren’t even offered any money off of our bill and told we wouldn’t receive a refund until they checked the cameras and saw how it got there. Restaurants should be safe, clean, and hospitable environments. When a customer reports a foreign object in their food or drink, especially something as bizarre as a string, the bare minimum response should be sincere concern—not deflection and accusation. Sadly, their response told me everything I needed to know about how they handle customer service and quality control: they don’t. Until Los Charros takes food safety seriously and learns how to address issues with grace and integrity, I won’t be returning—and I’d caution others to think twice before dining here.

Los Charros Restaurant – A Serious Failure in Hygiene and Customer Respect I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m writing this review out of pure disappointment and concern, not just as a customer, but as someone who witnessed my girlfriend being disrespected and dismissed by a restaurant that clearly does not value accountability or basic hygiene standards. During what was supposed to be a pleasant meal at Los Charros, my girlfriend discovered a string frozen in a piece of ice in her drink. Not a garnish gone wrong, not a stray ingredient—a literal string, submerged in a beverage that had already been partially consumed. This is a clear and undeniable sanitation issue that should have been handled with immediate concern and professionalism. Instead, when we brought the matter to the staff’s attention, we were met not with an apology, but with defensiveness and blame-shifting. They outright tried to accuse my girlfriend of causing it herself, as if we came in looking for a reason to complain. That kind of response isn’t just tone-deaf—it’s irresponsible, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. Mistakes can happen in any restaurant. What sets reputable establishments apart is how they respond to those mistakes. Los Charros chose to ignore the severity of the situation and disrespect a paying customer rather than take even the most basic step of acknowledging fault. This wasn’t just a customer service failure—it was a reflection of a deeper issue with how this restaurant operates. If a health hazard like this can be brushed off so casually, it raises serious questions about what’s happening behind the scenes. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. And if you care at all about cleanliness, accountability, and being treated with basic human decency, you may want to reconsider before dining at Los Charros.

Wasn't terrible, wasn't great. Me and my father went to this location and the staff was friendly. however, we were taken to a table, told that a Waiter would be by shortly to take her order... And then we were promptly forgotten. About 15 minutes later another employee saw us with chips and that was it. No drinks, no food and asked if someone had been by to see us yet and we told her no. she apologized profusely and took our order. My father wasn't very hungry so he ordered the chili relleno, I was moderately hungry and ordered the chimichanga meal. The chimichanga was good, the beef chimichanga was perfectly seasoned, it was tender and tasted great. The beans were a bit salty and the rice was good. My father's chili relleno did not sit well with him though, and he didn't enjoy it. Their chili relleno tasted like it was seasoned with something in particular, that he wasn't used to. I want to say it was beef? But it tasted good to me. But that's not the restaurant's fault, I don't think he was as hungry as he thought he was. I've been to this location before but I think it was called something else when we went. So I'm going to give it a couple of more tries.

I usually do not write reviews, but I read so many to determine if I am going to spend my money with a business or buy a product. I try not to hurt a business with reviews, because people tend to complain when the service or food is bad. I started going to Los Charros which is near my home years ago and the service and management was at it's worst, so I stop going. Then a few years ago, I decided to give the restaurant a second chance and maybe after eating a few times with them and they kept screwing up I decided again to stop eating from them. Just recently maybe a few months ago I decided to give them a third chance and for a minute they were doing okay. There is this one red-hair young lady that when she worked I felt that my food would be correct and that was okay. She was very polite and sweet which made me feel comfortable about giving them the 3rd try although before her, they had screw up my food badly.

Here is what made me truly decide to write this review, one night after a long day at work, I decided to go and get some food from Los Charros and after waiting for such a long time and I mean a really long time (several people had order food after me and received their food and had left, after I inquired about my food, one of the young waitress came and had the nerve to tell me that they have a lot of people to serve, now I had already paid for my food, so whomever else they had to serve I could have cared less, because I was a customer just like everyone else and I had already paid my money. over $40 dollars worth of food that day). I asked to speak to the manager, the manager Mr. Diego came and spoke to me and for a second I was calm, I check my bag and there was a few things missing, the young lady brought the missing items from my bag, but I am still heated because now I have been in this place for close to an hour and I am leaving out more tired and now angry. I finally leave and get home and find more things are still missing from my bag, so what do I do, I leave my house get in my car and go back to the restaurant and ask to speak to the manager again, Mr. Diego comes back to the front and ask me what is the problem this time, I explain to him that there are still somethings that are missing from my bag, the last words he said to me before I ask for my money back, was I thought you checked your bag, that had done it for me. I paid my money before my service was completely render and then after it was render, I was treated as if I had not paid them my hard earn money. Now I am not blaming them for my hard earn money being spent, but I am stating that it is that sort of service that makes me not want to spend my money with anyone and just cook my own food...lol...that is what I ended up doing. So I will never patronize Los Charros again...but for the lesson learned on how businesses see their customers I would like to say Thank you Los Charros, it's staff and Mr. Diego for letting me know you do not care that much about the people that send money there, just more about the money you get there. Now I would have giving them a (-1) but you must give a star, but they are not worth the 1 star. Please understand it is not the food it is the service. I have had some bad food before and kept spending my money with the business, because the service was...

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and the food wasn’t what I was expecting based on previous reviews. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito with rice, I specifically read the menu and it mentioned “cheese dip”, so I asked the waiter if it comes covered in the cheese dip and the response was, “no, did you want some?”, and I replied, “no, thank you”. He brings out the burrito and guess what it’s covered in? Cheese dip lol & when I say covered, the entire burrito AND plate was smothered in cheese dip and it is the kind of cheese dip that hardens and hers a bit sticky the longer it sits. I literally ate the burrito from the top to get to the filling because eating that much cheese and the burrito, is disgusting. My boyfriend, ordered the cactus on the side so that we can try it, it was excellent (a little too much seasoning but it was ok). Now, he ordered carne asada tacos which came with a side of rice and beans (on another plate). Well, when the waiter brought the rice and beans from his meal, the waiters THUMB was sitting in the beans because of how he was carrying it. The waiter never noticed, so when my boyfriend asked if he can have another plate or ride and beans because of the issue, the waiter went back and brought back the same exact plate. And we knew because the same smudge from his thumb was still there when he brought the plate back and the plate wasn’t even hot. I’m assuming the waiter didn’t understand what my boyfriend meant the first time because my boyfriend has a country accent but, this made us just want to leave the establishment all together. We explained to the waiter the issues and he said he can’t take his meal off of the final bill because the rice and beans come with the tacos but he can give a discount (which he did, a 10% discount) which is nothing but it’s better than $0. I’m glad we decided to come and dine in, because if I would’ve did take out and would’ve gotten home to see and taste what I did in to go containers, I would’ve been more pissed than I already was. Overall, I’d...
