We've been going here on and off for many years. The food and service have always met all of our expectations. I actually prefer this one over the newer one in marietta. Stopped on a Sunday around six, and they didn't seem too busy. My husband doesn't care for Mexican food, so he orders the steak with fries. I ordered the Magueys Fajitas, where I typically order shrimp. When the food came out, it was hot and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, my husbands steak was overly cooked and burnt on one side from flat top cooki, g and he had a hard time cutting it. I had to constantly dig through my fajitas, which had overcooked steak, shrimp that was burnt black on one side and black, bitter, burnt to a crisp onions, and peppers to assemble a Fajita. The onions literally crunched into black ash. This was very disappointing to the both of us. It's almost as if someone in the kitchen forgot the order was still on the flat top? The restaurant is small but employs many to maintain and keep clean. The staff is always friendly and always checking on your table. We would have said something to our server but it was late and we just wanted to get home after a long drive. If our food wasn't burnt I would have given 5 stars. Unfortunately, there's a process where a cook can see burnt food and dishes going out and the server can see burnt food and dishes going out before getting placed in front of a customer. Which means they both failed to care about it. It's definitely going to be a while before we go...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible! Went tonight with some friends... asked the waitress for some cheese dip which she never brought out. 30 minutes later she came to the table and took everyone's order except for me and my wife. When she turned to walk away and we got her attention she looked at us and rolled her eyes, like we were rude for wanting to order food. It was so obvious that I refused to order anything. No, I'm sorry or even a casual "oops!" Would have made it better. The TV near us was off and my friend asked to please turn the Braves game on. She said ok, left and came back with water and Tea. She filled everyone's drink at the table except for mine. She started to leave and my friend asked about the TV again. (This time in Spanish) She said ok she would turn it on and left. So 10 minutes later, when I got up to go to the bar, to get my tea refilled I asked the bartender to turn the game on. Which he did. We have had this waitress before so I know she isn't "new". Yes, I know it was busy in there and I don't expect stellar service when it is. But... if you are going to obviously roll your eyes at a customer then maybe it's time to go work somewhere else.... P.S. - Still waiting on my...
Read moreMy family and I get food from here at least once a week it is WONDERFUL! The food is fresh every time and GREAT portions for the price! So hard to find places these days that the dishes are worth the dollar but this place is spot on! My family and I (the main mexican lover in the house) have all their specials day(s) memorized! We don't always eat in because it gets pretty crowded during your standard busy hours (weekends and during dinner time). But if you are like me and like avoiding crowds its WONDERFUL if you go slightly before or after meal times! There isn't a single thing off the menu that I've tried that I didn't like! They are willing to accommodate and substitute to your liking and very rarely mess up the order! (Normally happens during busy hours which is to be expected!) I've taken co-workers and friends as well and they've fallen in love as well!
