So many different shops in the shopping center! Great parking for disabled and all families.
My one and only disappointment in here is the Kroger.
Not all of us need all organic fruits and veggies. The prices for these items and package sizes are not for me.
I looked for Kraft sliced cheese in the Dairy section. Not processed cheese. There was another shopper I spoke to that was not finding what he wanted either. Kraft should be on the Dairy section right? They did have a lot of cheesey snack packages but not any sliced real cheese. Customer service suggested I check the Deli section. Huh? For a none specialty item?
Ok, how about Pita bread? On the bread isle right? Wrong. Customer service asked if I had checked the Bakery. I do go to the Bakery for sweet items and special breads. I wasn't looking for a specialty item.. Her other comment is that they have items for ethnic groups that live around this store. So I might find items missing that I would normally see. I thought Pita bread was health oriented not an ethically related item.
After walking through this huge store I ended up leaving with only half of what I would get at other grocery stores in my area.
But as mentioned above I did stop off at Customer Service. First off I felt I was interrupting a couple of friend chatting. Then was directed to the sections I mentioned above. I stopped at customer service on my way out. Did I want to place my few items in my vehicle and got back in to search the areas suggested? I did not. Or would I like to stand there and wait while she checked? Not at this point I was tired and in pain from searching over and over. I just wanted to get out of there.
I am disabled and it is hard to go through row after row when needing just a few simple items. But, I did.
Some of the items I asked about are found in most grocery stores but This Kroger is not like the Kroger I began going to a as new bride and later mother. They have changed so much. The feel of the friendly neighborhood grocer is gone. Replacing it is a company that is going for a modern (?) Grocer? Specialty, organic and ETHNIC selections. Where has our friendly grocer gone?
Aisles were blocked by employees filling called in orders. Were they friendly and move to the side? Not on your life! They would leave their carts on one area and walk down the aisle for something else. Meanwhile here comes another selector from the opposite direction. Same problem. Customers had to wait for them to move on before they could continue shopping.
There were many people doing inventory checks but not there for helping locate items. The only bright spots for me the employees in the Meat department, the cashier and bagger. The cashier had to ask what my turnip was. Really? They were polite, friendly and young.
Sorry Kroger it seems I an not Ethically acceptable for your store. I will avoid shopping here as much...
Read moreEverytime I've entered this Kroger, on Dallas, Acworth highway. There always seem to be some kind of issue and it's usally the staff at the front of the store. (Cashier's, baggers, front end people ) When I'm in line to check out. I "might" get a greeting and ask me if I found everything I was looking for. But the cashier's are always " in the know" with the person bagging the groceries. That's usually all, the cashier's are so worried about the person bagging my groceries life and boyfriend's. That they'll place my cleaning supplies in with my bread. When I get home to unload my order, then I realize that my toilet bowl cleaner was in the same bag as my bread or baby products. If I enjoyed that bleach taste in my bread I just made for lunch then I'm perfect. So the money I just spent on that loaf of bread is in the trash. If I go to the self check out and have a issue with my order. I mines we'll go look up the item myself. Because no one is around, literally times where I've had to speak very loudly that I need help. It's almost like I'm invisible and not one associate see's me. Once I literally had the front end manager yelling at me because I asked her for a price check. I guess she didn't want to be bothered, I mean c'mon. Is that not her position is to help with a customer. Why, do I even bother with...
Read moreTheir prices are extremely high and the quality isn't the best. Wright's thick sliced bacon doesn't weigh a pound, but they charge you for a pound. The lettuce is not an actual full head. It is several leaves put together to look like a full head of lettuce. You can gently squeeze it and feel it collapse for yourself. I made a video of it, but can't post video formats in this review...only photos.
I gave it a 3 because they have bison and venison dog treats. 🤷🏾♀️ My...
