I have refrained from making a review towards this location however after today I must say something.
When this Marcos first opened I was invited by the franchise owners. They were extremely nice and I’ve remained loyal to them ever since. However the past 4 times I have received the MOST terrible service and I hope that if one of the actual owners see this they will correct their staff and train them how to properly conduct themselves. I placed my order over the phone for pick up. The gentlemen I was speaking to was obviously less than happy about taking my call. After I completed my order he never repeated anything back to me and only said that my order would be ready at 5:30 and hung up. When I arrived to pick up my order, a young lady approached me at the counter and showed me my pizzas. I advised her that one of the pizzas was incorrect. She gave me a blank stare, turned around, checked a different box, and then told the line cook what the pizza was supposed to have in it. The line cook said, “well that’s what was on the ticket”, and walked away. The young lady turned back towards me (while a female cook was yelling in the background at her co workers) and said,” well that’s what was onthe ticket” in an EXTREMELY rude tone. There was not once an apology or an ATTEMPT to correct their mistake. I decided to pay for the pizza because, of course, I realized at that point there was no one customer service oriented enough to deal with this situation in the correct way. I left and called the store. The same young lady picked up the phone, I asked for the manager, she advised me SHE WAS THE MANAGER. I then asked if she was the ACTUAL manager, and she told me she was the shift leader and that her manager Matt was on a delivery. I asked her to take my name and number down and to please have her actual manager call me. She then hung up! No bye or anything. The SAME young lady then called me back and told me that some other co worker advised her to give me an email address and I replied that I would not be taking any email and I would rather just talk to corporate. The young lady hung up AGAIN in an extremely rude way. No one ever tried to right a simple wrong that could have been fixed and obviously no one is trained to deliver even mediocre customer service because I still have yet to receive a call. Obviously the past 3 experiences with this location have been EVEN worse and I am completely dissatisfied with THIS LOCATION and will never return! I’ll take my...
Read moreI don't want to dis the kids working because they were nice and friendly. I think they just don't have proper leadership at night, and either the manager or franchise owner have no control or care for their facility.
However, I don't think they are trained on how to open a dough (I'm a former manager for a non chain pizzeria). The crust was stretched so thin that the pepperoni, sauce, and cheese WERE the pizza in the center, and the crust was huge. The boxes were exceptionally greasy and had a seasoning all around it. We didn't order any crust flavor enhancers, so it should have been just a pie in a dry box like we've got from our local Marcos for years.
Again, I don't think the kids are to blame. They aren't paid a lot and have very little training and supervision to provide consistency and uphold franchise standards. If anything, they need a visit from a corporate quality control manager to retrain them on the proper opening of a dough. I don't know if they use a conveyor oven or standard pizza oven. Our pizza was cooked, but the massive crusts were almost undercooked.
Our biggest issue was the crust under the cheese, and sauce was so thin that in spots, there was no pizza dough. So when you lifted a slice, you just got the crust and about 1" of actual pizza with the toppings. The center had no bottom crust to sit on. And the box appeared to have had garlic bread in it before because it was super oily and had an orangish sprinking of something all over the bottom. Neither of which has ever been in a pizza box from our Marcos before.
I know when you have young staff and no consistent supervision on a corporate brand franchise, you lose what makes a franchise good..... quality and consistency that should match all other locations.
I doubt the franchise owner will even see this. But if they cared and want to ensure a profit, they should read their reviews and work on their business. The only way a business stays open is if you give the customers what they know your brand is expected to provide. When you fail this, you become another vacant building.... and you can't blame that on Covid or the economy if you are not ensuring you are running your...
Read morePlease accept my gratitude to your customer service staff for their speedy and efficient service under the leadership of Mr. Mir, Owner/Manager, of Marco’s Pizza located at 4870 Floyd Road, SW Mableton, GA
We were at your restaurant on 01/11/25 to pick up a To Go order.
I would especially like to commend the staff at this particular location, for their ability to work under pressure and the capacity to maintain their patience with us on this particular busy day as their customers and including through the often chaotic and trying times of the unusual Snow related weather in Atlanta.
I’ve seen or witnessed a few customers behave rude and irrational a few times at the restaurant.
To my amazement it was handled with respect and compassion by the leadership. Thereby, avoiding a volatile situation. No, we the customers are not “Always Right.” -:)
In addition, I would also like to acknowledge this new location, for their courtesy, friendliness, professionalism and maintaining a clean, safe restaurant. The food presentation was superb as well as appetizing and VERY tasty, also the Soft drinks and dessert recommendations were well suited with our meals.
Under the leadership of Mr. Mir, Owner/Manager who runs the restaurant like a well oiled machine he has already proven himself to be a huge asset.
It always truly starts with the Leadership.
My Take out-transactions experiences have always been handled in a professional and timely manner; this has enabled me to maintain my often tight schedule.
I will continue to be a customer at this new Marco’s Pizza location as I feel this restaurant is the model for quality customer service experience To Go orders as well.
I truly love Marco’s PIzza and actually this is my favorite location due to those helpful employees. They’ve set standards and the raised bar. -:)
Whenever, I do see a Marco’s Pizza commercial I am reminded of the great teamwork within all of them. My Compliments to Mr. Mir, Owner/Manager, and including his Team that reflects his Leadership style and qualities. Thank you.
