I dined here for my cousin's birthday dinner. I wouldn't have picked this place but she did so I was forced to dine here. The experience was ok. First off, I had to wait for her and her people to arrive. Why would you be late for your own dinner beats me!!! I hate waiting on people so my mother and I waited in the lobby for a few minutes then grabbed a seat and started our dining experience. We ordered frozen margaritas and by that time they finally came along. They all wanted to sit outside so we moved out there. I was reluctant because it was a hot day and I didn't want to deal with the heat. But it was actually fine once we sat down. Our server was pretty good and handled everything great. He had to keep bringing more glasses because the ones he brought were all dirty but he handled it like a champ. Now to the food. I ordered the Pollo Con Crema, which I order all the time at my favorite Mexican restaurant. But this entree wasn't how I usually get it. It had sour cream in it where there should have been cheese. That took away from the dish to me. I didn't like that recipe. My mom ordered Burrito Deluxe. She didn't have a problem with it. My cousin said her taco was the nastiest one she ever had. She said the meat had no seasoning. She also ordered wings and French fries. Who goes to a Mexican restaurant and order that? Her I guess, but that's what she normally orders whenever we go out to eat. I guess her palate hasn't developed from a child's yet. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes. They did start karaoke later on in the evening and the place got pretty crowded then. We sat for a while to listen to everyone participating. They were pretty good. I wanted to rock the mic myself but decided not to. The prices for the dinner were fair couldn't complain about that and plus the waiter didn't charge me and my mom for the drinks we had earlier. That was a great thing. I doubt I will dine here again because I'm pretty fond of the places I normally go but the...
Read moreI am very disappointed with the Management. I went for lunch today (Saturday) with my family. The table had an advertisement stating lunches 1-10 with drink only $3.99. We ordered the lunches and when we went to pay, it didn't come up. I ask the waiter and he said it was only Mon-Fri. Nothing on the advertisement stated that. He contacted the manager for me to talk to. The waiter called me back to the bar area to talk. The manager asked "What do you want?". I explained the advertisement and wanted that price. He said he couldn't do it and I replied that I would not be coming back. His reply, "GOOD, I DON'T CARE". I left because I was shocked and went to pay. He came to the register and said "What do you want me to do". I explained that he should take the sign off the table at least. He then replied, "I am not going to take every F----- sign down." It would take 2 minutes to remove the little plastic signs of the table or note it on each sign. The manager was very disrespectful and went to explain that we have a sign on the street and the fence. As we left, we looked for the signs and found the following. The sign on the street didn''t say M-Fri but a sign on the fence did. The sign on the fence was covered by a car parked in the spot. Photos posted on...
Read moreWe decided to go to MI Rancho to get dinner with the family. There was some form of karaoke thing going on outside, which seemed intimidatingly loud in the parking lot, but when we got inside the music was tempered to a more relaxing level. As we did pass by the karaoke in the outdoor area, they were announcing socials for the evening, including drink specials and $1 tacos. It was kind of nice hearing specials before we even walked in the door, got us thinking about what we wanted before we even got seated.
We were seated quickly by their friendly staff. Their menu had a lot of variety, although I hate how some Mexican restaurants do their combination plates. They have about 20 different 'combinations' of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tamals, rice, beans, etc, but finding the exact combination of items you want is cumbersome or simply non existent. Usually I can settle on one convocation pretty easily, but I feel it would be so much easier if you could just choose the two or three items you wanted and just be done with it.
Even with that but of annoyance, the food wad great, the building was clean, and the staff was kind and helpful. I skyoe greatly recommend this...
