Placed a carry-out order online as my wife had done last week and had ZERO issues.
Same order tonight. We get there and there are three girls - two of which were super nice.
The girl with pink in her hair looked at the third girl and stated, “That thing that popped up that we didn’t know what it was? It was a to go order.”
The third girl (short, dark hair and glasses in attached image) stated, “Too bad,” as we were standing right in front of the register.
The pink streaked girl said, “They’re standing RIGHT here.” Dark-haired girl backpedaled.
The entire 5 minutes was spent trying to teach themselves Menufy and how to do it. The second girl (slender, dark complexion) said she had to teach herself because no one was able to teach her.
So pink-hair wrote our orders down. We received 3 out of 4 - which I will blame on technology - but pink hair definitely helped me with the fourth.
Additionally, as others have stated, the cleanliness is nonexistent. Cracks of the tables have food, spilled ice cream, stickiness; the high chair is so gross I didn’t even want my son sitting in it.
I went here tonight to avoid going to Pooler’s THE ICE CREAM STOP at Morgan’s Corner, but I WILL say I WILL BE driving the additional mileage to have a clean restaurant, friendly staff, and better prices/amount of ice cream.
I do believe this is my last time here. Definitely let everyone know when this place gets better. It...
Read moreI have visited this establishment twice and on both occasions, I received about half the amount of ice cream as I saw everyone else did. On the second occasion, one girl told the other she had to use a certain amount of pumps for a double serving and the girl stated no she didn’t and thus yet again I ended up paying for half of what I should have received again. Although the profit is good, I don’t feel as though I received my moneys worth. My total was $55 the first visit and $31 the second. That’s too much to not get what I paid for.
Update from experience: It just wows me that the owner, I’m assuming, is the one that reached out because of my post asking if I would send a private message so that they could get a better understanding of what my experience was. I did as asked just to be messaged back that they were busy with work and would get back in touch with me but surprisingly never did. Not only is that bad business but horrible ethics. I have in a nut shell been led to believe that I clearly don’t matter. It’s not often I leave reviews but this has really taken the cake for me. I guess if I was rude or irate more would have been done. Sadly this is how people really are. I would give zero stars...
Read moreA name change may be in order. The Magic is gone.
Apparently this business just had a major change, so I'm sure there is still a lot of troubleshooting to be done. This review should be understood as a snapshot in time, and not a reflection of the ongoing nature of the place.
I'm a local who had thought about visiting this ice cream store often. Unfortunately, I'm usually too full after eating at Tin Fin.
Around a week ago, my partner tried it out for the first time and fell in love. They'd been begging me to take them for ice cream, promising a unique experience.
We went yesterday, and their face dropped the second we walked in.
I was told MooMcGinn's offered a unique "made to order" ice cream experience. They are now just vendors for a premade ice cream. It's virtually no different from just going out and buying a pint of ice cream.
I know it's a work in progress, but the dining area was a mess. We were then told that the ice cream would be softer than normal as it had just been delivered.
We were then served expensive dairy soup.
Maybe they should rename themselves to MooMcGinn's Hershey Ice Cream. I...
