Honestly, I order from here quite often for my family. Over the 2 years or so I’ve ordered, most food has been pretty good, nothing to rave about for the most part, but enough for me to keep ordering from them over the hundreds of cookie cutter Chinese restaurants out there. A few “landmines” I’ve hit with their menu have been anything with “assorted fish” (which 99% of the time includes cheap tilipia) and crab, which brings me to my latest problem the “Alaska King Crab Roll”. Now I should’ve known better probably given my past orders, but hey, I’m a gambling man. And I definitely shouldn’t be. You know, you’d think for a nearly $20 charge, it’d be Alaskan King Crab in it, right? WRONG. I called after I saw the order (pictured) and asked if it was imitation crab, and upon double checking with the chef, it was supposedly half imitation crab and half “cooked king crab”, but let’s call bullshit on that as why would you ruin good king crab with ground nastiness pressed into a brick like imitation crab? If you do, it’s obviously horrible quality king crab. If you’re looking for a good meal, you might get a decent one here. Or you might get something that looks decent that’s stuffed full of cheap ingredients sold at a high price. It’s on you, are you a gambling man/woman?

Today was the first time eating at the Oriental J which states an Authentic Asian Cuisine. When entering the restaurant, we were greeted immeaditaley by the hostess. (Upon entering, I always check the health scores that is posted in every resturant - they have an A score ). The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean, and not overly crowded since we visted around 4pm. Opening up the menu, we were nicely surprised to see the different cuisines that was offered. (See pictures of menu) We decided to order from the Thai Cuisine the following: 1) Thai spicy chicken and shrimp. (Chicken and shrimp cooked in Thai chili sauce). 2) Massaman Curry (Cooked with sweet Massaman Curry paste, coconut milk, onions and potatoes, topped with avocado and cashew nuts). 3) An order of spring rolls 4) An order of crab rangoon Both dishes were really well flavored that brought out the wonderful Thai cusine. We will be visiting this establishment again to taste the other dishes on the menu. Keep watch on the other reviews.

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. My order was delivered. The order was accurate. The delivery person was very professional and nice. The restaurant does not automatically provide a copy of your receipt. I'll know to request it next time. The egg drop soup was delicious, perfectly seasoned, was not too salty and not spilled all over the bag. Fried Wonton strips were included and a perfect addition along with the hot mustard, soy sauce and sweet and sour sauces. Neptune's Nest is not really a nest. It is more of a Neptune plate. I was disappointed there was no edible fried Taro or noodle nest included. The ingredients for the Neptune's nest were fresh but the white wine sauce had no flavor making this dish extremely bland. I tried adding soy sauce and the white rice that came on the side. Unfortunately, I was not successful at adding flavor to the dish. I will likely order from this restaurant again but will try a different dish.

Today my family visited this restaurant for lunch. The waitress was immediately rude to us, stating that the only table that could fit the eight of us in their near-empty dining room had a reservation at 2pm - it wasn't even quite 1pm. We asked for the sushi lunch menu that we normally order off of and were told that because it is a holiday, that menu is unavailable and everything is full price. Such a wonderful business model - especially announcing that to customers.

We sat anyway, and began looking through the menu. When we placed orders, my wife and I decided we wanted soup as well. I asked for pricing, and the waitress pointed at where it was on the menu. I confirmed the order and she shut the menu in my hands and removed it. I was not finished with it at that point.

When the food came, my sister in law took a couple of bites and then grew a horrified expression. On the top of her dish was what appeared to be a hairy scab. We immediately brought this to the waitress' attention and she began trying to tell us that it is part of the seafood in the dish and is normal, all while we are entirely revolved and refusing to progress further into this charade. That additional piece was human - not some fancy garnish. The plate was quickly taken away before I could take a picture of it; and we were offered to have it recooked. This offer was refused, repeatedly. We demanded the checks and received nothing but complete resistance and attempting to get us to pay for the hairy dish.

This waitress was blatantly unprofessional, argumentative with a table of customers, and the food we received was absolutely grotesque and worthy of a call to the health department. Nevermind being completely dismissive of a serious problem and attempting to charge us for items we rejected for having human additives in them. We will absolutely not be returning and hope anyone reading this...

My wife and I had dinner with friends at Oriental J last week. This was our first visit and we were delighted. You can tell right away that the owner/managers take very good care of this restaurant. It very neat and clean, with well spaced tables and complete place settings ready to roll.

The menu is extensive and mixes Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. Quite the mix, you know they are sure to have an Asian dish to suit you.

I had the Sizzling Happy Family (J's Gourmet Special) and loved it. I had flank steak and mixed seafood (shrimp, squid, and mussels) and it was excellent. Way more than I could eat, so maybe get this and split it with someone. I also had the Thai Fresh Basil Roles with Peanut sauce, and they were excellent as well.

My wife had the Nigiri Sushi Combination and was quite pleased with her dinner. It came with a ginger salad and miso soup included.

The service was very efficient and kept our drinks full. As soon as we finished a disk our server was right there to remove the dishes and bring the next course.

I highly recommend Orential J, and you'll probably see me there as this is now one of our favorite...
