Sumo Hibachi and Wings-Hamilton — Restaurant in Georgia

I was excited to try this new restaurant, convenient location in the same plaza as my Starbucks and nail salon. My review.... Disappointed and Disgusted... The food was raw! Upon going back and bringing it to their attention, no apology, no offer to make it right, no offer to make me something else, all they kept saying was no refund. Seriously shocked at this whole event, disappointed that there was no concern that the food was RAW. (I can not be the first person to complain because they had their response "no refunds" ready when presented with the under cooked food). With the lack of care and concern shown, solely focused on money, they apparently have low-no standards. You would think as a new restaurant that they would appreciate me bringing it to their attention, maybe one of their team members could use further training or an issue with the equipment, a heads up before someone gets food poisoning. By all means they can keep the $10, I never asked for it back. At this point just thankful I didn't get dinner for the entire family. Never again, not worth getting food poisoning and would rather support a resturant that takes pride in their food...

I love Sumo Hibachi & Wings. I first discovered them in Johns Creek when I worked in the area. I was so excited one opened up in Buford! First experience was not a great one though at this location. We placed an order over the phone and my husband went to pick it up. As he was paying for the order, he noticed the order was wrong. They “cancelled” the payment and corrected everything and my husband paid for it. A week later, I checked our bank account and noticed 2 different charges on our account. One was the correct charge and the other was the incorrect charge they supposedly canceled. We called them and they told us they only see one charge in their system and refused to give us our money back…Giving them a 2 star review because the food was at least good…Just wish we weren’t charged double!

The wings were pretty good, my order was beef hibachi and the beef was too hard not tender whatsoever. the beef is not like the beef at real hibachi restaurant. You get what you pay for. One thing I want to comment is the booth chair is too narrow, Im not overweight but my butt can hardly park on the chair lol, it’s not comfortable to dine in.

Update review 5-18-24: I ordered 2 portions of hibachi chicken along with boneless wings and bulgogi burger combo. Unfortunately, the hibachi chicken was mostly rice with lots of big pieces of rubbery chicken that had a faint bad smell. The portion of vegetables was very small with mostly cabbage and tiny broccoli and the rice was just plain with a soy sauce flavor and some of the rice didnt get soy sauce even. Overall, it was not a good experience. I will not be back. I don’t know what to do with the to go hibachi chicken, I cooked food myself at home taste better than this. I am a foodie and I know food that is fresh and has good flavor and this place is not it...
