Panda Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Georgia

I absolutely love this place! I think it's the best Chinese food in the area. I drive all the way from the south side to Wilmington Island because I like it that much. Don't get me wrong, Chef Wan is really good too, but the family that owns and operates The Panda are just very very nice and the food is delicious! Although I do have a complaint about my egg roll being a little greasy at the bottom last night. Like when I was holding it up right, all of the grease ran down to the bottom of the egg roll. In my opinion there shouldn't be enough grease for any of it to have dripped down to the bottom, but it was so delicious so I just didn't eat the last bite with all the grease on it. As for the atmosphere, this is mostly a takeout kind of place so there's not much atmosphere and only a few small tables and chairs. I had the chicken with mixed vegetables and it was delicious as usual. I also ordered the beef mei fun, which is clear rice noodles with some vegetables and of course the thin sliced super tender beef. Every dish that I've ordered from the panda has been excellent mostly because they cook it fresh when you order it and they make the egg rolls by hand so they are extra good! I ordered shrimp with garlic sauce and plain fried chicken wings. What I got was shrimp with old broccoli (they must have started cooking the broccoli the day before foe about 48 hrs. But worse than that was there was no garlic sauce. They put a sugar sauce in it. Probably what they call sweet and sour sauce but it was thick with sugar. You could stand a spoon up in it. I put the whole thing in a strainer and had to hand whip off all the sugar while I rinsed the whole dish which also had carrots and water chestnuts. All I wanted was what I asked for . Shrimp with garlic sauce. Then there was the fried chicken. I used 8 paper towels to wring it out with. As I was wringing it out between the towels, my hands were loaded with grease. I just paid $35 to have the worst spare ribs and boneless ribs and egg roll and mediocre wonton soup that I ever had. The spare ribs taste like they cooked them and left them out all day long. They look overcooked but they're not juicy or moist or anything at all. The shrimp roll you can't chew through the wonton wrap and the ones on soup mediocre. I have never had to give a Chinese restaurant a bad review until now. So disappointed and even more angry that I spent $35 on. That's all I got.
