These guys sell $10 hairy sandwiches and no remorse of correcting a wrong. I am blown away.... I ordered a whole sandwich and half of it had a long black hair embedded into the meat and bread. IT WAS DISGUSTING I threw up the first half. After a long day of no meals, I relied on Panera to give me quality food given I'm paying $10 for only the sandwich and they can't even get that right.
I went back, asked for the manager and all employees are moving sheepishly as if they couldn't care less. The Floor cleaning dude was on his phone chilling and the sandwich makers are in the back looking irritated. Manger comes to me, I ask him to open the box and he immediately sees it and agrees it's disgusting and directly goes to refund me the money.
Here's the kicker.... I asked if any of the folks in the back even wear hair nets. I look over his shoulder.... NO ONE IS WEARING HAIR NETS! He stumbles for words and shakes it off claiming they wear 'visors' so it's an acceptable substitute. I press him, that HAS to be some health violation. He claims that given the hair is within the cap, hair is secured. I called him out and POINTED at the woman making sandwiches with LONG hair hardly fitting into her 'visor' with hair dangling on the side after a long day of work..... it's OBVIOUS the visor isn't going to do ANYTHING. Manager wanted me out before I caused a scene, but this is RIDICULOUS. There was NO sense of embarrassment, simply "business as usual' attitude. I would be surprised if this incident encourages them to at LEAST wear hair nets.
If anyone from the Health Inspection Agency is reading this, please fact check the manager and TELL me that a visor is NOT an acceptable replacement to a hair net. And if I am wrong, if Panera management is reading this, for the courtesy of your customers eating hair bread, PLEASE go the extra mile to ensure your employees contain their hair...
Thinking about it make me want to...
Read moreDon't bother on the weekends. Poor management has to be the reason behind the repeated poor experiences I have received from the Duluth location. I frequent this location as it is close to my work and my home. During the week, service is good. But it all seems to fall apart on the weekends. More than once I've ordered and paid on the app. I receive a text stating my order is ready but when I get inside, there is nothing on the shelf for me, my name isn't on the screen at all and I have to ask someone about my order. One time I was told I must have sent it to the wrong store and after leaving and coming back, (because neither location answers their phones), I discover I had the correct location in the first place! So, even though I try to save time using the app and choosing Rapid Pick up, I typically wind up waiting until they make my order while watching others who came in after me, leave before me. Today I experienced the same thing for about the fourth time and when I get home, I discover there is no egg on either sandwich - just bacon and cheese. Really?? Scrambled egg is the first word in the name of the sandwich. Ridiculous! I'm done with this location and I'm done...
Read moreI used to frequent this location since it's across from our offices. Now, I only go if I'm REALLY craving a bagel and have time to wait. I tried using the app, but it continously crashed. I decided to just go in and order since I needed to get bagels for my team.
Inside, the person taking the order was also the person slicing and packing the orders. I get she used gloves, but there is also an efficiency issue. Now you have another ungreeted customer at the register waiting while she's slicing a dozen bagels for the previous customer.
Meanwhile, the 2 in the kitchen are gossiping and talking about personal stuff, even stopping to become fully engulfed in conversation, while people are waiting on their food.
That was just this morning. The 2 times prior, I was able to use the app. I ordered an everything bagel, sliced not toasted. Both times it was toasted so they tossed it and gave me a new one. I even put in the comments "Please do not toast", because in the past they kept doing the same thing. It's like they read enough to see the type of bagel and that's all.
Overall lack of customer service, efficiency, professionalism, and the ability to...
