It brings me no pleasure to write this review because for as long as I can remember, Panera Bread has been my go-to for lunch salads, sandwiches, and soup for dinner. Before moving to this area, coworkers and I ate at Panera regularly and we could always count on fresh full salads with amazing salad dressing, delicious sandwiches with a good serving size of chips, and delicious soups that were hot and fresh.
Unfortunately, that is not the case with this Panera, and for the last few months, we have seen the quality of the food decrease, the serving size decrease, the freshness decrease, mistakes with every single order, and no decrease in prices. We try to give chance after chance for you all to get this right, but today was the straw. It started with a wrong salad order, and then with most of the condiments missing from my husband’s salad. Then one day I bit into a steak sandwich (my favorite for years) and realized the beef was spoiling, if not already spoiled. I was nauseous all afternoon and havent ordered it since. The last three lunches have had my husband picking things he asked to exclude from his salad out before he could eat it, thus making him late for work after lunch. And today? Well my lettuce was frozen and wilted which means it was not freshly prepared. And I only received half of a full price salad. We paid for a full salad as I had nothing else with my order. We received a baguette for the first time in a while since you are always out - but today’s bread was stale. Stale! Hubs spent the first part of his lunch picking edamame from his salad after he, for the third time, asked for it not to be included in the salad and found it tossed in the bottom. And then he discovered mold on some of his already wilted lettuce. I hope it doesn’t have to be said, but we are done with this Panera for good. Our money is being wasted here and we tried to give you a chance to fix the problem.
I just wanted to be sure and let anyone reading these comments know that you will not receive the best quality food for the price here. I’m sorry, but it’s the truth. And I’m sure I could call a manager and sit through the scripted “we’re sorry” or “well, there’s inflation” spiel, but I don’t have time to waste on meaningless platitudes that managers are taught to use to placate customers who have every right to be upset if the food they pay for is not good. Once or twice - completely understandable if not a bit annoying. But months of consistently bad food service? Unacceptable.
You have a staff issue. They don’t care about preparing food consistently and properly and they don’t care about the fact that people are paying for the food they order. You have a management issue. Reviews like this wouldn’t have to be written if management properly trained employees and ensured that morale was high so that would reflect in the quality of the food and service. You have a food quality issue. Inflation and the economy affects us all. Sorry not sorry. While we have a choice of where we want to spend our money as consumers, when we choose your Panera, we are putting our faith in your service. We pay the amount indicated and in exchange we expect to receive what we have paid for. You would not give us food if we didn’t have the full amount listed on your menu, so why can we not receive a full salad? You are not holding up your end of this arrangement.
Save yourself the trouble and skip this Panera experience. Maybe go next door to Tin Lizzy's, instead. As a customer I can tell you that their food is correct every time, and they're right next...
Read moreThis Panera Bread location is disgusting; We won't be back. Where to even start... The cashier doesn't appear to be properly trained and is borderline rude. Ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 sides. Identical orders, not that complicated. He got the sides wrong. Had to wait over 30-minutes for the food. Ridiculous considering the side items are microwaved. Receive food after 30-minutes. The side items are incorrect (mistake by cashier, not kitchen). Waited another 5 minutes for the kitchen to correct (again, it's MICROWAVED!). Meanwhile, the chicken sandwiches get cold. Receive the correct side items in bowls less than half full. $5.99 for a couple tablespoons of Mac and Cheese. Both half-full bowls are ice-cold in the middle. Return to the kitchen a second time for some more microwave home-cooking. Finally receive the side items (third time now). Still not hot, but no longer frozen in the middle. We are an hour into this at this point and decide to just live with it. Chicken sandwich was OK. Cold, of course, but edible. Side items are gross. The tables are dirty. There is litter on the floor throughout the cafe. Dirty dishes stacked up by the trash. The entire place just feels disgusting. Do yourself a favor and don't sit at the tables outside the kitchen doors. Every time an employee goes in or out you'll see how dirty the kitchen is as well. There are tons of places in East Cobb to grab similar items to Panera -- pick any one of them randomly and you'll likely have a...
Read moreDON’T EAT HERE!!! I ordered 2 - Chipolte Chicken Avocado Melt sandwiches. (And more) As usual, they didn’t have chips - which is what I preferred for the side - or apples. (That happens all the time, so there was no surprise there.) When I got home, both sandwiches were chicken and bread - period!! No avocado, no cheese, no chipotle sauce - nothing but dry chicken on a bread loaf. I’ve tried calling to discuss this with the manager all morning and no one answers the phone. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE AT ALL! The mistakes have been plentiful over orders placed with them numerous times. The only reason I’ve given them so many chances is because I happen to love Panera. But I’m done with this location now. I will drive further to get my Panera meals……….complete and correct. The Mt. Vernon location is much better. At least they tell you anything they’re out of, and give you alternate choices. They have a little sign on their counter at this location - apologizing for outages due to supply chain issues which I find humorous. I work in the supply chain and supply chain issues have diminished greatly. But if I do have an issue - I make sure to communicate it. They seem to want to hide behind supply chain issues, using it as an excuse for their mistakes, and not communicating any issues/outages to the...
