1 star only because zero was not an option. Have ordered take out from this establishment many times in the past w/o incident. To celebrate a special occasion, my family and I elected for something we were familiar with. This was our first time in person. This was also our last time giving this place our business in any way. The way they ignored my family and I today was unacceptable. After being promptly seated, the waitress came over to take our drinks. Then for the next 20-25 minutes, we watched other smaller as well as larger groups come in, be seated, get drinks and order food. We ordered a draft, margarita, and 2 waters...never received anything! The Tables around us attended to had new drinks, food, napkins etc.brought to them. Our waitress never came back or ever addressed us. Neither did anyone else working there. I tried to signal the waitress w/o success. I then elected to walk up to the main kiosk and inquired who the manager was, a man indicated that he was (turned out to be the owner). So I politely asked if I could speak w/ him at the table, he indicated "OK". After going back to my seat and watching for the next 5-10 more minutes as the owner and our waitress continue to take orders, sit new customers etc, and just look up at us and then continue as if nothing....we elected to leave. When we stood up, the waitress came back and became emotional as she was giving all these excuses. I again pointed out that I had asked to speak w/ the manager/owner. He still never came over to speak with us or to help de-escalate the situation in any way despite being 10 or so ft away. As we were leaving, I addressed the owner in Spanish again about how he never came over after I made him aware that we were having some issues. He never apologized nor attempt to keep our business, he simply looked at me. so we left!!!
To add some additional context, not labeling this anything more than horrible service, but the optics of the whole situation just don't sit right. This is a small and intimate space, its hard to get lost. We were also one of the few (and the only family) that was not yt. My kids were asking all these questions and it almost ruined our little celebration. We refused to allow ignorance to prevail so we visited another establishment that was better equipped to value and attend to ALL OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. the night was salvaged but Rustico will NEVER get another dollar nor thought.....gonna treat them as if they are...

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the freshness of the food. Every bite was a burst of authentic flavors, a testament to the high-quality ingredients used in their dishes. The menu boasted a variety of options, and each dish seemed to showcase the culinary expertise that Rustico prides itself on.
The service from the staff was nothing short of amazing. Despite the bustling Friday evening crowd around 6-7 pm EST, the waitstaff remained attentive and efficient. Our orders were taken promptly, and the recommendations from our server were spot-on. It was evident that the team was dedicated to ensuring a positive dining experience for every patron.
Speaking of Fridays at 6-7 pm, the restaurant was understandably busy, yet the staff managed the crowd seamlessly. The energy was infectious, and it added to the overall lively atmosphere. Despite the rush, our food arrived promptly, and the staff maintained a friendly and accommodating demeanor throughout.
In conclusion, Rustico is a gem for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. The freshness of their food and the exceptional service provided by the staff make it a standout choice for a delightful dining experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, Rustico is sure to leave a lasting impression of flavor, warmth, and hospitality. Highly...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend was in the mood for Mexican food and found this spot. I orded over the phone and being that this is a place we've never been to I had to revert back to the menu online just to make sure I was telling him the right thing, while in the middle of searching for the food I wanted he stated "HELLOOO" as it had only been 2-3 seconds while I was looking and telling him to give me a second, and after placing mine I orderd the rustico burrito for my boyfriend and the guy just seemed like he was in a rush or like I was bothering him. Not only was the customer service poor I ordered nacho fires with chicken, there is literally only a few bit of fries with a pile of meat. I gave 2 stars being that the food tastes great, however the portions are all wrong and the customer service is not so great. On the other hand my boyfriend loved his burrito.
** Update: After reading the owners response, just to clarify I did not have the menu in hand as I had called in from my cellphone in which the menu was on my cellphone. I find it odd that my experience (not an opinion) was found unfair. What I experienced may be different for someone else. At least the...
