Update 8/10/23: Updating rating from 4 to 5 stars. We have been back a few times since the original review and service and food has been excellent. We took some family last night and they were so impressed with the food. Dillon’s is nothing fancy and looks like your typical neighbor sports bar. But there is nothing typical about their food. My current favorite is the Cajun Pasta with chicken. Their smoked wings with gold bbq- so incredibly flavorful and smoky. Their baked beans are some of the best I’ve tasted. My in laws had the catfish and I had a small taste- not normally something I like because it tastes muddy to me. Theirs did not. It was very fresh tasting and they said it was some of the best catfish they’ve eaten. Food is fantastic. We’ve had no issues with the service aside from the one time I listed and are overall very pleased with everyone we’ve interacted with.
Original Review: I’ve been to Dillon’s a few times now and have been really impressed with both the food and service. The wings are delicious. I love medium buffalo and my husband gets the gold bbq. They are both so good. Skin was crispy, meat was juicy- the only thing we may do different is order extra sauce because we both love a sauced up chicken wing. Tonight I tried the Reuben which they are supposedly known for. When I got the sandwich it was just the meat and bread. I was a little confused, and thought maybe they did something different with their Reubens here since it’s a sandwich they were known for? I ate about half of it before the server came back around to check on us. She asked me how the Reuben was and I let her know it was okay, but I was expecting there to be sauerkraut and thousand island. She then let me know she realized she may have swapped my order with someone else’s. She was nice about it, but the interaction was just a little strange and I wasn’t sure if she was planning on fixing it. She finally did offer to bring me out a side of sauerkraut and dressing for the rest of my sandwich which I definitely wanted as a Reuben is not a Reuben without these in my opinion. Unfortunately it probably wasn’t quite the same had the sandwich been freshly put together at the beginning, but I did very much enjoy the sauerkraut and the meat was tender and flavorful. Outside of this odd interaction, I think the service is outstanding- especially the hostess who is so sweet to my 6 year old daughter and provides her multiple pages to color each visit. This place is a wonderful neighborhood bar with solid bar food and I’m glad we found it. I may give the Reuben another try in the future, but for me the standout...
Read moreFinally, I tried this place, and on Christmas Eve 😆! Upon entering, you know immediately that it is a "Cheers" type place for regulars. The bar was full with only one empty seat, but only two booths were taken. We arrived at about 5:15, and we're seated immediately by the bartender/ server that was doing it all except cooking! My friend had the BBQ platter with pulled chicken, pork, and 4 ribs along with fries and slaw. He gave me a rib, and it was delicious. He enjoyed everything, and his plate was cleaned (very large portion 😆). I had the catfish for $17.99 that included 3 pics of fish and 2 sides. I chose tater tots and baked beans. The baked beans were outstanding! Tots were nice and crispy. The catfish was surprisingly good. Again, very large portions. The atmosphere is bar like with several tvs and again you could tell most ppl at the bar knew each other. I met a woman in the restroom who said that she had been coming there for 30 years and that it was a regular for the Brookwood crowd. I'm looking forward to going back on a Friday night for prime rib! When we left at 7:00 pm the place was packed with several families in the other room. Another person said they ate there every Christmas Eve after church service. If you live in the area and haven't been, give it a try. You won't be...
Read moreI went to this place recently- had not been there in over 20 years. To be honest, I have no idea why we waited so long to return except that we moved a little further away?? Our experience was fantastic! The service was fantastic! The staff obviously works as a team, and everyone has a smile. The food was delicious! The nachos were made with fresh veggies and delicious chicken ($12). The wings were a bit pricey, but tasty according to two in our party. My daughter's burger almost gave me severe plate envy, but, luckily, my fajitas ($15) were delicious!! The chicken was so tender and sizzled up with an amazing pile of onions and peppers! So good! We split the hot brownie with ice cream for dessert and, while I only had one bite (diabetic spoonful) I was blown away with the rich flavor! Wow! The inside is festive and has TVs great for sports fans! It is a place where you could absolutely bring the whole family. All in all- great experience. They advertise team trivia on Tuesdays and other events... We will definitely...
