Summer King is absolutely amazing! My 8 year old started with one afterschool class last spring and now takes two different classes each week. I am very impressed with the school. Summer King offers classes for every skill level. The school not only teaches the kids different art techniques, they also learn about different artists and mediums. The school offers multiple classes... Cartooning, drawing/sketching etc.. My daughter is learning to work with acrylics, water color, charcoal, oil pastels... She has learned Chinese brush painting! The Kids participate in a true art exhibit and have an opportunity to display, sell and discuss their work with the general public. My daughter is having her second art exhibit on December 3rd at Snellville City Hall!!! I could go on and on!!! Did I mention that all of the instructors are professional artists who are actually working in their area of expertise. The cartooning instructor is a working cartoonist! The Drawing/Sketching instructor is actually a working commissioned artist.... The skill and knowledge in this academy is truly exceptional. They even have a Summer Camp program that is over the top! My daughter did it last summer and had a blast. We definitely plan to attend the summer camp this year. Summer also does birthday parties.... She is doing my daughter's party later this month! If you are like me and believe that children need to be educated in fine arts.. and are disappointed that our society is taking art programs out of the schools, you need Mosaic Minds Art Academy. Summer just did my daughter's 9th birthday party. All of the kids loved it. They each got to paint a beautiful canvas. The canvas and all of the art supplies were included. We tried other instructors and studios in the area before going to Summer, and I have to say that Summer is by far the most passionate and most patient. It's so obvious how much she loves her job and how much energy she puts forth into each lesson. My children are 7 and 5 now, and they are homeschooled. They both started taking classes with Summer when they were 4. They talk about things like "Pop Art" and "Realism" and point it out when we go places. Last month, they studied abstract art and learned about "Action Jackson" and practiced creating abstract art. They LOVED these sessions. Next month, they are studying folk art, and after looking at the syllabus, I truly cannot wait to see what artwork and knowledge they will come...

My children are enrolled in virtual art classes, and they love being online with Summer and the other students. It's like she brings the whole class to our own home. Class syllabi and supply lists are very thorough and easy to acquire. Each week's project allows students to be free and creative to produce a unique piece of art while following a few simple techniques. These techniques are so new and catchy that my children usually create even more after class. Summer teaches history to go with each week's theme, so students know and understand what types of art they are emulating.
