I am extremely disappointed. Went to the restaurant tonight and the server was actually the rudest and most disrespectful person I have experienced in a long time. I had a covered foam plate with me my iPad my phone and asked to sit outside to order. From the very start her attitude was rude. She seemed to have a problem with me when I asked her to clean off the table because the table was dirty. She told me that I would not be able to bring other food and eat it there. I told her that I was ordering food there as well as well as a drink. She told me it was managers rules. I asked her to go get the manager. The manager never came out. I was still very polite to her and very kind and ask her for the order. She brought out the Oder . I sat ate my food was on the phone when she came back out and she started to attack me verbally saying that she did not want me to leave her a tip. She started yapping at me. And wouldn’t stop. I told her I was on the phone and that was fine whatever she was saying. I wasn’t going to entertain her. It seems obvious that she had some other problems going on that has nothing to do with me. I told her to stop being attacking me and trying so provoke an argument with me.. I said again to her " I’m on the phone". She continued and basically told me she was going to say what she was going to say no matter what. After signing my receipt I went inside to see if I can find a manager. Initially the manager was rude as well but then she did calm down. I was able to talk to her. I asked her for the owners contact information because this is the second time that I’ve had an issue there and I come there very often and I felt like the the owner or someone who is invested in the company should know how the employees are treating good customers. I am an entrepreneur and I would never have any tolerance for any customer to be treated the way I was treated today. After talking with the manger she finally gave me a phone number. It took time. She did not want to give me any info at first. The other waitress overheard us talking so she decided to start talking at me again and I basically told her in Spanish to chill out. Read moreThis has been a special place to me since 2014, but it has declined continuously a mid new owners and managers. I took a friend there twice. The 1st visit was really nice. It was early evening on a Saturday. We went back a 2nd time on a really busy night and was seated in a dark area! The food was good and the margarita ok! Once we left the restaurant, I examine the receipt and discovered that we were charged for 2 margaritas when we only had one. The friend does not drink. So I said I would just call back so they can make the correction on the bill 🤣🤣🤣😇🤣🤣 what a joke
I called several times and left several messages. I even asked to speak to JP the waiter, but he was never available. The manager was not there so I didn’t think it was a big deal. ☺️
However, after 2 weeks of calling and leaving messages, I took a teacher friend there for dinner and mentioned the ongoing situation to a young pregnant waitress, Of course she didn’t have any authority couldn’t do anything and again the manager was not there. But I did ask her to call the manager! JP, the waiter was not there either!
So I continued to call for more weeks and taking notes!
Today I stopped by with my receipt and notes of who I talked. I was told by the overweight arrogant manager that they made restitution when I came with my colleague friend. Maybe the pregnant waitress drank the drink but it NEVER came to our table! As a matter of fact, when we left the restaurant, the teacher colleague and I were discussing how difficult it was to get this problem resolved!
When I tried to explain this to the manager she just kept over talking me and wailing her hands at me so I just said thank you and left! I will NEVER EVER return again or recommend this place to anyone If you go to this restaurant, make sure to check your receipt before leaving! Use the light on your phone check the receipt, if they sit you in the dark area! The owner and staff desperately needs etiquette...
Read moreGreat service, great drinks! The food is always great, but I do get the same thing every time but it never disappoints! The owner is really nice and all the staff has been with him for a long time now so that’s good to see familiar faces.
Update: it’s been a few years since my original review and everything I said still stands. Unfortunately, their new staff doesn’t live up to the original’s. The new “lead” waitress is RUDE. Sometimes I’ll just come to get a drink and some cheese dip, I’m not planning on spending a bunch, normally I get the same service regardless but unfortunately with this new group of waitresses they only care about how much you’re spending. When I brought up my concerns, I was met with “well she’s busy”. I have seen the 2 original women run this place by themselves with exceptional customer service regardless of how busy. I would suggest some customer service training for new hires.
Update 2024 - My above update unfortunately remains. I just experienced one of the most unprofessional moments I’ve ever had with a waitress. Miriam was very rude and so noticeably so that I had to ask her if I had offended her in anyway. I had noticed she was overly nice to the other guests and very rude to me so I didn’t understand what could be the cause. Miriam stated that I did in fact do something to offend her and that something was me not being able to tip on some occasions. I honestly tip based off of service and what I have readily available. Unfortunately Miriam service is always rushed and quiet frankly rude. So I don’t tip her because she’s not very pleasant. I’ve worked in the service industry and understand that sometimes no matter how nice I am, I won’t get a tip and sometimes my positivity warrants a great tip.
