They don’t even deserve a star. I have been dealing with this situation since June 2023. My husband and I purchased a new home and hired Home Depot to replace our holding door with a double door. Two days later after the door was installed it began to leak. Contacted Home Depot multiple times they sent someone out once. In December after coming home from work walking through my kitchen saw that more water was coming through the door and flooded my entire kitchen. I had to contact a company to rip up my flooring and set up equipment to drain the water out every time it rained because of this. Again Home Depot was contacted and showed no eagerness to address the situation. They then placed me in contact with their “insurance “ company Sedgewick who has also done little to nothing. Their excuse for the door leaking was that the door was not painted. Though a nonsensical excuse, how was I suppose to paint a door that leaked 2 days after the install. Late April they finally replaced the door. But to my look this door was not only smaller but worse then the first. This door however was painted and leaked worse then the first. Water was coming through the bottom top and middle section where the two double doors were suppose to meet. Once again Home Depot was contacted. They sent someone out to check the door and make a report. Weeks past I tried contacting them no answer contacted the insurance company and they never know anything. After a few months I was given a reply of “ oh it’s still leaking? They again sent someone out to do the same report the claim to have not received and a water test. Less then a minute of this water test the door started leaking. Keep in mind every time it rains my brand new kitchen floods out. They know this because I have been vocal and have sent emails and pictures along with video. I demanded that the door be remeasured and that I would get another brand new door. Ontop of the the flooring that we use in our home no longer exist. So this is the first and second floor of our home. It’s been over a year now. The door was suppose to be replaced in August , the door was never ordered and I was never informed, then they said September 1st. Once again it never arrived and no one reached out to say anything. Now it’s supposed to arrived September 26. This is all because I have been the one running them down and calling. Now where I have reached my complete limit is when my son walking in the kitchen tripped on the LVP that was dug up and not replaced for a year now ended up in the emergency room with a laceration right above his eye needing stitches. They have also been notified of this. The complete and utter lack of eagerness and piss poor customer service from this company has me and my family beyond infuriated. Not one representative from Home Depot has contacted me back. They have shuffled this issue from management to management and I’m to the point where I will be seeking legal counsel.

A rare corporate learning center in today's economy. I visited as part of a University event. The staff was very friendly. The place is clean and modern and spacious with lots of natural light. I especially like how they call the place the store support center rather than headquarters. It's a good cultural tone.

Visited Store 1248 in Yonkers NY on Friday, November 29 at 7pm, horrible experience! SITUATION 1: Went to return something, staff at the returns desk were socIalizing with each other or on their phones. Waited for a bit. I had to raise my voice to get their attention. I was standing under the sign that says return, yet the guy at the returns desk said you have to go on the other side!!! So I asked him if there is a manager in the store and he said yes. Unpleasant experience didnt end there, SITUATION 2: So I went in the direction where the returns guy pointed me to, and I saw two employees speaking, one male and the other female. So i decided to wait until I could grab their attention. One employee was complaining to the other employee about a colleague. I waited. When they saw me, I said to both could you please tell me where is the manager. The female staff said, 'what is your question'. She was a bit rude. I looked at her, puzzled, and said that is my question, where is the manager. The female employee then walked away, and the male employee said what is your question. I looked at his apron and realized he is the assistant manager. I then related my experience at the returns desk and he said he would look into it. I picked up a few items and then proceeded to the checkout. SITUATION 3: I stood in line at register 6. After the cashier Alex finished with her customer, she turned her register light off. So I said to her I am waiting on line and she responded that she needs to step away for 5 minutes. No courtesy to say she is closing, just turned the light off and ready to walk away. SITUATION 4: I proceeded to the first register near the pro section (could be register 1). I stood in line again of course. The cashier Shaheen took care of the person infront of me and then said to me that he is closing. Shocked and confused I said with frustration, you saw me standing in line waiting, why didnt you tell me that earlier. Anyway, he then checked me out and I left as an unhappy customer. Been shopping at Store 1248 for about 20 years, and I would say their service quality deteriorated, lack of profesionalism, and it doesnt appear they appreciate you as a customer. So now I try my best to get items I need from Lowe's and if possible Harbor Freight.

In short: The store's refusal to refund a shipping charge for delivering damaged items has left me extremely dissatisfied and frustrated.

The items I received were in terrible condition. It was clear that they had been mishandled during shipping resulting in significant damage to at least 9 of the 8’ cedar boards I ordered. I ended up returning 35 boards total (26 of the 6’ boards and 9 of the 8’) due to their overall quality. Some boards were thicker/thinner than others, small splits, rot, what looked like mold, discoloration, etc.

I usually go to the store and purchase these boards in person. I pick through the pallet of boards and avoid ones that are damaged. However, the 8’ boards I needed for my customer’s project were not available at the Winder store, or any store within a 50 mile radius of me, according to the Home Depot website. The only option I had was to schedule delivery and pay the $79 delivery fee.

On July 12th, I loaded up all the damaged items and drove them to the Winder store, which is the store closest to my home. The associate who was handling my return advised that I needed to speak to “.com” about the delivery fee as the store cannot do anything. I received a refund for the items I returned and left. I called Home Depot customer service to request a refund for the associated shipping charge, but the representative I spoke to told me since this order was shipped from a store, I’d have to go to the store to get a refund for the shipping. Total runaround.

I drive back to the Winder store and relay that “.com” contradicted what I was told initially, but the store manager adamantly refused to refund the shipping charge. Michael told me, and I quote, “You can go cry about it to corporate. I’m not refunding you $79 because 9 of your boards were damaged”.

I asked if I was being treated this way because I’m young. He threw his hands up and said, “I’m not doing this with you. Get out of my store.” Just like that. I called him a piece of sh*t (poor choice of words, I know) and was told that he was calling the police because I cursed at him. I waited outside while on the phone with my wife for about 15 minutes for the police to arrive. They never did. I walked back in the store just enough to ask if they were on the way (I was standing in between the two sets of double doors). The manager rolled his eyes and said, “I don’t know, buddy.” I said, “OK well I’m waiting outside and it’s hot. Did they give you an eta?” He replied with, “You can wait outside all day for all I care.” And then started to approach me.

I asked him not to step closer to me and backed up a few feet. He ignored me and followed me outside into the parking lot. I asked him again to get out of my face to which he responded with, “What are you going to do? Hit me? Hit me! Hit me!”. A grown man. A store manager. This is unacceptable and honestly a bit unbelievable. If you can’t interact with customers without escalating situations or without antagonizing them, you shouldn’t hold that position. I’ve never in my life been talked down to, mocked, and threatened like this. All over $79 when I’ve spent THOUSANDS on my Home Depot credit card since 2014.

Luckily for me, Home Depot extends their return policy to a year for purchases made on their credit card. I’ve been able to gather roughly $500 in product (including tools and hardware) from the past year to return. Funnily enough, I had zero problems closing my credit card over the phone. That department didn’t even care to ask why!

In conclusion, I strongly advise against shopping at Home Depot - especially the Home Depot in Winder. Save yourself the headache and shop where your satisfaction is valued. Also, be sure to steer clear of Michael Emeneker who will throw a temper tantrum like a 4-year-old and misuse emergency services the second you have any kind of...

If I could give 0 stars I would. We order a new GE stackable washer & drying unit online (since not stocked in store) to be delivered since our old washer broke.

After waiting/doing work to our laundry room it finally arrived. Two workers brought the machine inside & unboxed it for us. They offered to hook it up but I declined since our house/water unit is old & tricky and that my partner would do it when he got home.

(Note: I am a SAHM & had another delivery that day as well)

When my partner got home he hooked the unit up so we could finally do our laundry! Unfortunately the dyer didnt work, and little did we know and finally noticed a huge dent on the right hand side of the dyer. Which caused the drum in the inside to barley spin and when it did it was straight metal on metal grinding! Awful!! I was upset that I didnt pay more attention but we were more upset that the workers did see that while uoboxing or check/over look the machine before they left.

So we called & spoke to someone about our options and decided we wanted to try again with receiving another one.

Three days later.... another set of workers arrived to take the old one & give us a new one. (This happened over the weekend when my partner was also home with me)

When the arrived and started to bring the new one inside I see a part om the side above the washer popping out... which they were able to fix but was definitely red flag #1. Now after they left my boyfriend immediately starts hooking it up for us to try. Turns the water on, we test a load and..... the plastic drain hose has a hole in it & sprayed water everywhere. So he had to go back and turn the water off. Lucky hes reslly handy and cut the piece off with the hole and used another plastic fitting to hook it up. After we test the small load it was time for the dyer. Now we turn the dryer on and it almost sounded as bad as the first one! Very loud, metal grinding/speaking, banging noise. Come to find out that one is dented too on the back panel.

So by this time we have called Home Depot back at least 5-8 times figuring this out and complaining about our very valid frustration.

Now since this was the second time we asked for compensation which we thought was and is fair and long story short on that nightmare in itself we recived a gift card so we could order a different unit. There's no way we were trusting the same one let alone trusting this company again. (This gift card situation was bullshit and the workers/supervisors are not constant with anything they say and no one seems to do their job right) I had to call back 3 more times just to ask after over 24 hours (promised eta) of the emailed gift card because no one followed through and we are out alot of money until the refund was complete when they pick up the damage machine.

Now today, we had a scheduled pick up to get this second broken pos machine and I called to ask where the people where since I waited at home all day! Just to come and find out that they showed up, sat in the end of our driveway, called my boyfriends number while he was at work (which he didnt even receive or get a voice mail) and left.

So I asked why they didnt knock on the door or call the other numbers Ieft on file since ive been the one making all these phone calls! The lady said they dont knock on doors and my other phone numbers where not saved on file.

Now, wish us luck our finally pick up & delivery is on August 1st and after that... We will NEVER do business or recommend Home Depot to...

Home Depot has made the absolute worst decision possible, when they put the sales of their appliances in the hands of a separate shipping company. This may seem or be cost effective, but is it really? I ordered during a sale, my first ever brand new fridge. This was at the beginning of June. The delivery date was given, I agreed upon and I signed was June 19. 14 days from the day they took my money to the day I receive my fridge. 4 days prior to my delivery I begin getting the texts. “Get ready for your delivery”. How to prepare and TRACK my delivery!!! 1 day to delivery, another text, it’s here and your time window tomorrow is 8-12. Great! I start preparing. Buying ice chests, ice, cleaning out my old fridge, clearing room for delivery. Taking the day off from work! Unpaid, but I want my new fridge, I need my new fridge!! I call and ask the call center the day before if I could just possibly make sure that the 8-12 is for sure 8-12 and if 11:00 or earlier can be done that would help so much. It’s my son’s 16th birthday (this delivery day) and as a single parent with zero help, I need to make sure I pick him up from camp that afternoon on time. (3:00) The call center tells me they have to call the shipping place and ask, so I am put on hold. I am left on hold for 48 minutes. Still not upset, perturbed yes, but the gentleman explains Home Depot has no control over the delivery. Now I am getting worried. This call was at 8:40 am the day before delivery. When he finally comes back to me, he says he got confirmation from the shipping place that they will be there before 11am. Ok, great! Right? Well, a mere 6 hours later, I receive a TEXT, not a phone call asking me or even telling me how sorry they are for all that I have gone through to adjust for THEM to deliver. Nope, a text, telling me my new delivery is now 2 more days away. THIS IS NOT OK. I have a house full of guests, for my only child’s 16th birthday party coming on that day. Saturday. I didn’t sign a contract stating I would adhere to all of the conditions of sale and expect it to mean nothing, only to hear the truck is late. The truck wasn’t late 6 hours ago. Where could the truck possibly have been if now you can’t deliver for 2 more days???? Now I need a fridge. And I was given zero help to find the fridge I ordered and spent 2k plus on, to make this right. Nope. It’s out of their control. Well maybe it might be a good idea to make some effort!!! Call around. Find and fulfill your end of the contract!!! It took me 10 minutes to call around and find the exact same fridge at Lowe’s. They have it on hand. They can get it to me tomorrow! That’s great!!! And now I run to Home Depot and return the fridge, I explain the situation and say I paid part cash and part debit so this money should go right back into my account, right? The customer service tells me right. I don’t have another 2k plus to buy the other fridge. I need my money you have had for 14 days back. I wake up this morning to NOTHING BACK IN MY ACCOUNT!!! Not the cash I paid or the debit I used for the rest. Home Depot you have failed. And while writing this an automated call was just made to me from shipping place saying at 9:18 this morning on delivery day, the can’t make it. I will never ever purchase another major appliance there. You ruined this whole experience, situation, surprise party and made sure I have no money back in my account so I CAN MAKE IT RIGHT! Thanks so much...
