I’ve gotten to the point where I go to this specific smoothie king EVERY single day. I also order the exact same thing EVERY single day and it always comes to $14.53 - way more than the average smoothie. I don’t tip 30-38% to be mistreated here, I tip because they usually take care of me. Even the man that owns the place and his child take care of me. Yet tonight (3/16), whoever was managing gravely mistreated me and even suggested I find another smoothie king (which I’m actually now considering since my business is obviously not appreciated). If the owner reads this, you should really reconsider who you employ since this one girl deliberately and very clearly attempted to chase away a loyal customer.
Edit: and this employee went on to personally attack me on social media making cruel assumptions and emotionally sadistic comments showing that she is truly unfit to work in customer service, yet this is apparently an establishment that allows such heinous behavior
Also, due to the fact that this place lists the caloric intake per beverage and per add-on, if said calories that are paid for are not given it can be considered blatant false advertising.
I made no demands, but simply informed that what I PAID for would not fit in said cup (a cup that costs maybe a maximum of $0.15 more than the smaller version which is more than covered every time they say there is no change in the drawer), which is when she got an attitude unlike any I have ever encountered. Read moreI used to frequent this location, but the last few months haven’t been so good. They were out of the vegan protein powder for a while, so I had to get none or walk out empty handed. Since I had no time to go anywhere else and had missed breakfast those few days, I chose to go without. I can’t have dairy, so I was stuck without. No discount since ingredients were missing, but I needed something.
I stopped in this morning for a vegan smoothie. It’s been about two hours and I feel pretty sick. Either I was given the wrong protein powder or they cross contaminated it. I’ve got a busy day and I’m nauseous. I haven’t had this issue in the past. I have called multiple times to inform them, but nobody is answering.
Since replacing the staff a few months back, this place has gone down a lot. The old staff knew my order when I walked in, never made me sick and were really friendly. I was told there is a new owner by one of the new staff. I am not impressed. Time to find a new place when I’m in a bind and need a quick smoothie to hold me over.
Side note: If you have vegan alternatives and someone orders it, please assume it’s an allergy and don’t contaminate your ingredients. You make it more difficult on yourself if someone comes in and needs you to pull out new ingredients to make sure it’s safe and you risk making someone sick if they don’t specifically say ALLERGY. I used to specify, but was told in the past that different scoops were used to prevent issues....

I didn’t even purchase a smoothie from this location because the young guy who looked like he was the only one working at the establishment had the nastiest attitude. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there and was unenthusiastic with the customer before me. He walked from the smoothie making station with the containers and mumbled “You know what you want.” and began to rinse out the containers with his back to me. I just stood there looking at his sagging pants, underwear exposed, until he looked over his shoulder and said again, “You know what you want.” I said yes and he said go ahead and proceeded to keep rinsing with his back turned. I said I’ll wait and he kept rinsing. I thought to myself do I really want to spend my money here with this type of service? I left and not soon after saw the same gentleman come outside on his cell phone.
