Were here the 1st of April for our Spring Break....Stopped by for a drink at the bar earlier in the week and thought we would give this restaurant a try a few days later with the family. We arrived around 3ish to avoid a long wait. Only one person was seated inside and 3 groups on the porch outside. We asked to be seated outside and were told we would have to wait 20 min. (okay..???) Asked to be put on a seating list and were told there were no reservations...??? Told us to come back in 20 min. (OK - that makes no sense!!) So we responded that we would would wait inside until table was available. We were then seated 5 minutes later outside. Taken to a FILTHY table and given wrinkled up, stained, paper menus. The large table next to us had obviously wrecked havoc on the porch as Ketchup was all over the floor and under the table and chairs where we were seated and mayo and mustard squirted in several chairs at the large table. Trash and silverware all over the floor. There were other empty tables and shame on us for not asking for another. Husband placed the paper menus on the floor under our chairs to keep from getting our feet dirty from condiments spread all over! We asked for another menu and were told they were out and printing more. Took appox. 15 minutes to be acknowledged and approx. 15 min. to get our drinks. (There were MULTIPLE waiters!!!) Ordered chicken tenders for our 8 yr. old and 40 min. LATER were told they were out! We would have left had we known because there was nothing else he would eat. After 50 min....(AND empty glasses!) were told my husband & daughters meals were ready but waiting for my friend chicken to be finished. When food came out, my friend chicken was burnt, chewy, not edible AND COLD!!! Greens were good and mac n cheese was ok. My teen daughter ordered shrimp & grits and they had sooo much extras added that she wouldn't eat and got sick later. Husband ordered the ribs and he said they were ok. 8 Year Old got a plate of fries and we were charged almost $6.00 for the fries!! Think there should have been no charge seeing they waited 40 min. to tell us they had no chicken fingers. Manager came out while we were eating and saw me taking photos of the filth around us and then started picking up stuff himself and got onto an employee telling him to clean up. Manager asked us if it looked this way when we were seated... (No... we got bored and decided to wreck havoc on the porch and squirt condiments everywhere!!!) pretty insulting that he would ask us that as apparently the large party of 12 left the mess and it remained there for over an hour!! No apologies made by management or staff and worst service we have received as well as some of the worst food we have had since arriving. And my husband did write on the receipt worst food! And the meal cost us around $100.00!!! Oh - and another kicker...we ordered the crab dip and chip appetizer... got that after about 30 min. Dip was cold and cheese chewie where apparently it had sat for awhile and waitress dropped 1/2 the chips while carrying to us. She just laughed and didn't replace.... so we ran out of chips 1/2 way through eating the dip. DON'T WASTE YOUR...
Read moreDO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!! Horrible Horrible experience. If I could give less than one star, I would . We’re in town staying on sea island for a retreat. Found this place online and made a reservation on open table before going. We left the resort to come to this restaurant based on me having been to the restaurant in Atlanta and the wonderful history. Horrible experience. Horrible experience. We were a party of 10. There was not a single other person in the restaurant and nearly everything we ordered, they did not have. The waffle maker was broken, so no chicken and waffles. Burgers were cooked so well they were dry and we left over half of each on the plate. We ordered mac & cheese and the waitress came back to the table later and said there was not enough, then they found an extra serving and they brought out some additional ones all dried up.
It’s a Juke Joint, but you can’t touch the jukebox. There’s a big sign on the jukebox that says do not touch. I asked if we could get permission to touch the jukebox and I was told it’s actually broken and the music that we were listening to was coming from something being played independently and not the jukebox. We ask about karaoke and were told that the karaoke machine doesn’t work and the waitress said she’s never seen it work. We spent over $400, no one came to the table to explain why they were out of things or to apologize, offer us a drink, a soda, or even a free water. Will never go back. Do not go to...
Read moreWe visited here on 08/26/2022 after my cousin's wedding rehearsal. We had a reservation for a party of 20. The server, who was also the bartender wasn't very pleased that we walked in a few minutes after 7, because they were closing at 8pm. It showed in his facial expressions and he made mention about what time the kitchen closes also. We felt very rushed to order and to eat. Our reservation was at 6:30, but the rehearsal started later than expected which caused us to show up late for our reservation. I did call the restaurant to notify them. Some of the food wasn't very appealing. My husband ordered the fried chicken with greens and macaroni. The greens had way too much salt in it and the macaroni wasn't hot and looked old. My husband said it didn't taste good either. Someone else from the party ordered ribs and it came out looking burnt. Also, the server forgot to order one of our guests meal. It wasn't the best visit and they are nothing like the one in Atlanta that's amazing! The music was good though and the outside views was a plus. He didn't deserve the 18% gratuity either. If you are going to work in the service industry, your customer service must...
