Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

Waitress on October 4th 2023 at 9:30 pm the younger of the two waitresses had a noticeable bad attitude from the time I walked in. Just had rude energy. She wouldn’t give two KSU students their discounts because she said they had to let her know prior to entering the order. Don’t be lazy just start the order over. Seemed more like an excuse. Second she messed up my order. I clearly ordered a Texas egg and cheese melt with only egg and cheese. I told her twice. When she brought my food with a patty melt. I told her that this is not what I ordered. At that point she wanted to challenge and argue that I didn’t clearly make the order correctly. I’ve ordered the same meal for years and never had somebody at Waffle House challenge me on what I Ordered or mess up an egg and cheese sandwich. After she argued that with me and took the plate back she whispered something to the cook. I have no idea what she said but at the point I’m done so I left. They were also outwardly talking about drugs loud enough for all the people there to hear. No professionalism and poor customer service. I don’t expect much at Waffle House but I really didn’t care for that...

I've definitely had better experiences at other Waffle Houses. I've actually have had a great experience before at this one. This visit was way under expectations as when we arrived for dinner on a Sunday evening, no one was in the parking lot. I thought this is a first and decided to go in opposition to my wife's better judgement. For starters, ALL the tables were dirty with plates and leftovers on them. 3 employees chitchatting in the corner. One of them greeted us dryly and was our waiter for the evening. We ordered to have missing items from our meals, to get a dry apology as "the food is coming out slowly". Again we were the only customers there. Once we got the remaining food, which some was over cooked, we hurried to eat so we could leave. The whole time during our meal the employees were talking down about other employees which were not there and how they were not going to do the dishes or mop because it was not their job that they were just going to sweep it under the stove. I was so glad to get out of there as it felt uneasy to be there, as if everyone else knew not to come there tonight and we just didn't...

My husband and two children stopped at this Waffle House. We were traveling from Florida to St. Louis and needed a break. I hadn't been to a Waffle House in 10 years and wasn't sure what to expect. This place absolutely exceeded our expectations. Our food was delicious and prepared well, especially the complimentary waffle that we received. We also ordered a patty melt, steak melt, and a burger - they were all great! The place was also clean and well-maintained. Most importantly, we met the nicest employees ever. Jordan B was our server and Josiah was in the kitchen preparing our food. They were both so kind, sincere, down to earth, and truly cared that we were taken care of. We felt valued as customers. They definitely deserve a raise. This was such a pleasant stop on our road trip and we will definitely stop here again if we pass through.
