BEWARE of Wendy’s “Traffic Cop” Manager !
I went to Wendy’s on Hwy. 400 in Dawsonville yesterday to grab some food and although all of the restaurants around them were lined up with cars, I noticed they only had one car on the lot and it was at the drive thru window, so as I came in the drive I pulled right up to the speaker to place my order and was immediately greeted by a womans voice saying “ You came in the wrong way, I cannot take your order. You need to circle the building and come back to the speaker”. I said are you kidding? And she said no, I can not take your order if you do not come to the speaker the right way. I pulled up to the window and asked again why she wouldn’t take my order. That makes no sense. There is no one else in line or on the property. Why should I have to circle the building first? The lady replied that I approached the speaker from the wrong direction so that was reckless driving and she couldn’t serve me. I explained I had pulled in slowly and safely and simply made a u turn to the speaker. There are no signs on the property and no lines on the pavement directing me to drive around the building so what rule or “law” did I break? She repeated she could not serve me because I broke the law. I asked if she was a law enforcement officer and she said she was the store manager. I told her well she apparently wanted to be a cop because as a Wendy’s manager her job was to serve the customers and provide good customer service and she was doing neither. I was not driving recklessly but in my opinion she was bordering impersonating an officer. I told her I would be making a complaint with her company and she asked me to leave and not come back. I complied with her request and now I understand why they were the only restaurant around with no customers. I suppose she has run them all off. I have to wonder if this was the best candidate Wendy’s could find to manage their business. I was in the restaurant business for many years and even managed several Wendy’s units and later became a recruiter and trainer for them. Back then we would have never tolerated this type of behavior from any manager or store employee. Our goal was to brighten each customers day and send them away smiling even if they came in grumpy. Today they seem to send the ones who come in smiling away grumpy. What is the...
Read moreIf I could give a zero I would. I have tried the old location and the new location many times. Cold food and extreme lack of customer service. I went Sunday with three cars in the drive thru. A new girl on the first window. No big deal everyone has to learn. The drawer keeps telling her it need a drop and the manager tells her to ignore it multiple times. Then my order gets lost. She asks for help multiple times and gets ignored she finally gets another person to help her finds my order goes to give me change and she didn’t have any ones. Asks for a manager 3 times for change he ignores her. I got $4 in nickels and dimes back. Ok I can deal with that. It all spends the same. Move to the second window. I wait five minutes before someone comes to the window hands me half my order and then tells me the rest will be ready in about 6 minutes. Normally I wouldn’t care but with previous issues with constantly getting cold food I knew the first half of the order was going to be cold. I told her to never mind just give me a refund and I’d go on about my day some where else. She tells me to come inside. At this point I’ve been there for almost 20 minutes. I go inside and the same lady starts yelling from the front to the manager that “that lady is up here” five minutes later he comes up and asks me what I want. I want a refund obviously. He asked me why and I told him the above. He snapped at me and said well your foods ready now. Awesome. Except the other half is cold. Didn’t offer to remake it nothing. I will NEVER...
Read moreWish I could give ZERO stars. This location has been soo slow and hasn’t gotten an order right once in years. We rarely go here, because of what I’ve stayed above, but after today we won’t go back. I ordered a $5 meal that comes with nuggets for my son amongst other items, it wasn’t until I asked for an extra 4pc nugget that she tells me they only have spicy. So she wasn’t even going to tell me the nuggets for my child were spicy, just going to let him figure it out I guess. The lady that took our order (and payment) was nice, even after I told her I wasn’t happy about the spicy nuggets, but the girl that handed me my food just shoved it at me, no “thank you” no “have a nice day” no “sorry about the nuggets”, nothing. Just shoved it in my hand and closes the window. So I sat right there and checked to make sure our order was correct, everything except my other child’s cheeseburger was right (shocker) and my kid was so hungry she said she’d just eat it, so we left. My burger was cold, really cold, like they just pulled it out of the refrigerator. I can deal with cold food, it’s cheap and they’re slow so I knew what I was getting myself into, but after a day at the pool we were hungry and Wendy’s is close to home. But I will not deal with a rude attitude. This place needs new management or retraining...
