Spice Wing Dawsonville — Restaurant in Cumming

We ordered a 30 count of wings. They were hard and overcooked. We called them to let them know the wind were unsatisfactory. The call got disconnected or either they hung up because when we tried calling back they would not pick up the phone. When we finally got them back on the phone again after calling from a different number mind you, We were told they would make it good. I took that to mean the would redo the order. So I took the food back minus the few I had put on my kids plate bc they had played over them. So I felt that I shouldn't have to bring back the ones they had slobber all over. One because with covid and everything else I didn't think they would want them. Upon coming in I informed them I was the one who called gave them the bags celery included. The guy proceeds to say I cannot replace the whole order I asked why and reminded that he did not say that on the phone he said because out of the 30 ordered it was missing 10. I said yes bc i had ordered them for my kids (3) and they had played over them. I said do I need to go home and grab them bc they were actually still on their plates half bitten. He said yes. I said fine. I go home and put all 3 plates in a bag and brought them back. I have been a customer of spicewing Dawsonville since they opened. For as long as I can remember, Taco Mac has been my favorite place to get wings, but everything changed tonight. Spice Wing is so much better and not just food wise, they had very nice staff who made sure we were being treated well and having a good time. But the wings were most definitely the best part of the experience. We got 20 boneless mild wings, and not only did they give us a few extra wings, but they were very generous with how much sauce they put on the wings. But don't worry, if you're someone who doesn't like their wings drenched in sauce, they put the sauce on in a way that keeps about half of them lightly sauced and the others with tons of sauce, so either way you prefer it, you'll be happy. Now for the flavor, I was really hesitant to say they were the best wings I've ever had since Taco Mac holds a special place in my heart, but the more I ate, the harder it was for me to deny the truth. Not only are their wings fresh. crispy and just overall amazing, they have such an amazing flavor without sacrificing the amount of spice. I lOVE Spice Wing and generally have an amazing experience at this location. We order from them a lot and they are our go-to for parties. The food is so good. Never have I had a bad meal. And usually the staff is so sweet. But today, the person who answered the phone to take my order was so rude and unfriendly I almost told him never mind the order. He was rude the entire conversation and then when I was ending the call and said “thank you” he just hung up and said nothing. But because they have the best wings anywhere I ordered and ignored him. Then, when we tried to use two coins that were given to us by the manager a while back, for 10 free wings, this same person wouldn’t let us use them on the current order because we didn’t let him know ahead of time. We tried to have him void the order and just re-ring it up but he refused. We asked him if there was any other way to do it and he said no (I’ve worked in restaurants many times and there is a way). It was clear from the start this guy just didn’t want to help anyone. Overall he was unpleasant, didn’t want to be helpful, and shouldn’t be in customer service.
