I happened upon Willy’s on Chastain after a long day out. And by long day, I mean I literally walked into the place at 9:46pm. At that time of night, I wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised and happy to be wrong. There were two customers ahead of me- a father and son. And what a pair. The father was about as nasty a piece of business as they come. That wasn’t the surprising part. The surprise was in the way Brian, the manager, handled the entire situation. Brian deftly took over waiting on the customer. He smiled, agreed with the customer, and remade the customer’s order (when there was absolutely nothing wrong with the order in the first place). In fact I took what Mr. Douchebag didn’t want because I’d seen it made and knew it was good. The father was just a douche. I mean c’mon Dude, it’s called a line. Grown-ups know that you have to wait your turn in line. This guy…sheesh…was just plain wrong. Brian was like a Dry Idea commercial – he never let the terrible customer see him sweat. He managed the situation to goal and sold to the guy like he was the nicest man on the planet, instead of an insufferable brat. I was so impressed. Mind you, it’s almost 10pm and Brian is still smiling. My first visit to Willy’s won’t be my last. I’ll be sure to patronize Willy’s on my next trip to Georgia because of Brian and because the Cilantro steak was so good! Thanks also to Todd and Ariana. (How in the world did you guys find young people so pleasant- especially at 10 at night?!) 5 stars guys! Keep up...
Read moreWhere did the attitude come from? Wife and I have frequented this location for about a year and almost always have had great experiences. Chips sometimes aren't the best but rest of the food and service has been top notch. Until miss attitude was hired. first encounter - she was just cold and displayed demeanor she just didn't want to be there. No smile, no thank you, just rung me up and job done - minimal effort. Then came Saturday - ran in for wife and I's usuals to which after such a shambolic display efficiency - orders after mine got queso before my wife's burrito. I stood there as delivery service meals with queso were fulfilled waiting on drivers to pick them up but I have to wait for queso. After asking 3 times - how long on queso - because I couldn't get an actual answer (somebody going to another store to get some - WHAT?!?, they just need to grab it from the back, they are heating it up now - Yes all answers I got) I just wanted to confirm - "i have to wait 5 minutes on queso" - to which got the snark response of "if you want queso" coupled with the rude tone and an eye roll that could be heard at Chick-Fil-A next door. I noped out - forever.

Read moreI have been a long time customer of the Willy’s franchise and am a weekly customer of a different location. I am a service handler and have never had an access issue with the Willy’s restaurants until today. The manager of the Chastain location came up to my friend who had her service dog with her, insistent that she show some sort of certificate or card showing proof he is an actual service dog. We kindly explained that per the ADA/federal law, there is no such thing. According to the ADA, “service animals are not: required to be certified or go through a professional training program.” After explaining this, he told us that the ADA site was not” up to date” and he was trained by the owner and he is just following policy. We explained that I am a regular customer and come in weekly with my personal service dog and have visited this location and never had an issue, to which he seemed surprised. After discussing how we were not welcomed in the restaurant as long as we had the service dog with us, he gave us the numbers to call corporate and the owner as well as some coupons for meals in the future. I love Willy’s, but I was very disappointed in how this was handled and will not be returning to this location...
