Had butter chicken and biryani. Ordered online and chose the option "indian spicy". But it wasn't spicy at all. It still tasted good, but not what I was looking for. 4 stars
Came again Edit:
Having tried their menu items before. This time I tried their buffet on Saturday. My top picks: goat, very tender and strong flavor aloo masala. It's a good choice to have something a bit sour in the buffet, because most other choices are buttery.
Didn't like: Everything else was a bit bland. Aloo tikki and pakora, was too chewy. Which I didn't expect because I came as soon as they opened. They had fried rice instead of biryani, which I was looking forward to since I liked their biryani. And again, a bit bland. Naan is somewhat on the drier side. This makes it sound like I don't like this place at all.
But.
service was great. Refilled my water and took my plates away in a timely manner. And they have mango Lassi included in the buffet, which is not common. It's not something I can experience nearby me other than here. So there is a value here, in that there is no competitor.
And that's what 4 stars means to me. An above average experience. I ate everything there, figured out what things I liked, then kept eating those along with the unlimited mango Lassi. And left having a good time.
Isn't that what we're all yearning for, at the...
Read moreCame for weekend lunch buffet on a Friday. (+) Good variety of food & drinks included in the buffet: mango lassi, chai/tea with half and half creamer packets & white sugar you add yourself, 2 dessert options of decent gulab jamun & kheer rice pudding with a hint of saffron, even plain and mango kulfi (Indian ice cream).
(~) Variable service from the staff. Staff stopped refilling my water around around 20-30 minutes before 3pm (restaurants closing time).
(-) Lack of refills of certain buffet foods at 2pm (restaurant had a 2:45-3pm closing time), so that there was very little to pick from the goat curry or the saag. You’d probably be better off with coming to the earlier times in the buffet to avoid having only melted kulfi or these food portion issues. 19$ for 1 adult for weekend lunch buffet is kind of costly, especially again for the lack of certain food portions.
*Edit 17$ for weekday lunch buffet on Thursday. Weekday lunch includes mango lassi, chai, coffee, and table naan, in addition to goat curry. Dessert featured gajar halwa (sweet carrot) & kheer (rice pudding)
(+)Service was better this time, as the waitresses were quick to refill my water, though I did have to ask for (included)...

Thank you for extending royal treatment to us and for the complimentary Dessert which consisted of was two Gulab Jamuns which were very fresh perfectly cooked. We truly appreciate your hospitality.
Another aspect which is very important to mention here is that unlike others India Palace is very conscious and mindful of the reviews given by their customers. India Palace a thank you for taking my review seriously and working on it and correcting the error.
Food tasted horrible. Pindi Channa was all watery and Panner Makhani was salty and tasteless. They forgot to serve us Panner Pakoras which we had ordered as an Appetizer/Entree'. The Nan too was stiff and flaky. Before this also I had gone for Lunch during BUFFET and the food did not taste good. Even when the food displayed on the table was empty in nobody bothered to fill it up. A BIG BIG BIG ...
