I have been here over 50 times since opening, but TBH it's been awhile since I last came.. for the longest time it was the only game for what 32 does nearby Seville.... So for a football game I went to watch there last sunday... The server was amazing and checked on our table with incredible consistency even after we were done with eating and just winding down ... She alone gets a 10 ā and I topped her over 30% pre tax... I won't mention her name... Here's the crux of my 3 stars... So the bill was about $110... Once paid, the bill neared $115.. I read the check and saw about 4% surcharge .. surprised I asked the server, she sent the manager over... The manager was quite uninterested in the conversation, actually quite disrespectful I felt...asked to remove the surcharge....she says it's on the menu and front door etc... okay great however, I'm not looking for extra fees, I'm looking for food and drinks, wasn't seen, wasn't mentioned, wasn't corrected. Now I personally voted for the restaurant proposition to help restaurant staff to be better paid based on my conversations with many owners because I do eat out daily and have become acquaintances with owners. I understand it's the greedy banks etc... but when you have Or may have had a loyal customer base you shouldn't further harm them because of "the owners decision and per the manager his expenses etc." better negotiations with a bank might get you farther than stinging your paying revenue providing customers .. I am not looking to ever go back not so much because of the fees which are exorbitant, but moreso how it was managed by the manager and it's quite obvious to me the owner seems quite greedy... Profit matters I know but adding 4% is more than enough especially when a large bill is incurred.... And the servers could take a moment to alert clients to prevent this disillusionment... Because there would have been a no charge per manager if I had wanted to use a debit card... Makes no sense as all cards incur swipe and transaction fees... I owned a business... I'm fully aware... I do not anticipate returning... And if this owner truly cares about his front line staff servers... He would understand they will get the short end because those dollars he charges in fees will hurt as customers might take it out on them... That was my initial response but didn't because it was not her fault the greedy ownership is blind to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen going here for almost 12 years. We live 5 min away. Have had good experiences over the years, but we had a bad one today. Might be a sign Blue32 has changed. Their prices are a lot higher now for one thing, so I would expect good service among other things.
We got there for lunch on a weekend & opted for an open table on the porch. I told the hostess we would sit out there & didnāt need to be on a list for inside (only a few min anyway). She acknowledged that. After sitting on the porch without a waiter or waitress coming by for 15min, I went inside & asked for 2 adult & 2 kids menus. The waitress for the porch gave them to us when I asked her inside the restaurant. I didnāt realize she was the waitress for the porch when I asked because Iād never seen her out there at that time. Another 10min went by, and nobody came to our table. We didnāt even have waters after about a half hour on the porch. The porch waitress seemed more concerned with a group of ~8 on the porch. Guess that pays a bigger tip than our group of 4? I saw two other tables of 4 out there who looked like they hadnāt been attended to well either. 4-5 tables on the whole porch isnāt too many for one waitress to handle.
A young man saw us getting up to leave & came over & asked if we wanted to order. We said weād be leaving and it had been a half hour. My wife called the restaurant and asked for a manager after we left. She described the situation, and the manager didnāt even care.
So, I ask you if you want to be paying so much $ for food, āIs this is really the type of experience you want to support?ā. Personally, we will not be going back. This restaurant has made $1000ās off of us over the 12 years weāve lived nearby. I suggest treating your customers better and not taking them...
Read moreStaff is friendly and attentive, restaurant is nice but a bit plain. Got a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and two beers and it was about $32 (with a 15%tip) for one person. Im so glad they charge an extra ¢30 for that side of ranch so they can stay in business after charging $13.29 for a chicken sandwich and fries (rolls eyes). The sandwich was well cooked but fell apart making it a mess to eat, I would prefer the avacado be guac so it could hold it together better. As it was the top bun just slid the hell off making me have to literally put my sandwich back together for my second bite. Additionally, the bacon stuck out a solid 3 inches off of each side of the sandwich (that's just lazy) resulting in my bacon chicken sandwich being bacon free for half the bites.
Beer selection was decent. Standard bud, Miller, cooers, hef, stella, and gunness, with only three local brews on tap (hop knot IPA, kiltlifter, and a papago IPA). But they do have fresh squeeze IPA Deschutes on tap so they get a pass.
So overall this place is decidedly average. Beer is overpriced, food is underwhelming for it's price, service was excellent. I find it hard to recommend this place as there is literally nothing memorable about it. Not bad, not great; just another overpriced sports bar in an...
