Unfortunately, my experience at Eatalia was far from pleasant, and I would not recommend it. Upon arriving for our reservation, we were immediately greeted by the owner at the bar, who asked if we had a reservation and told us she would be with us shortly. After standing there for about 10 minutes, the busboy finally seated us at the table that had been empty the whole time. It felt a little disorganized from the start.
Things didnât improve from there. The food came out at different times and was, unfortunately, wrong. The waitress offered excuses, saying it was due to how busy they were and even blamed the kitchen for the mistakes. One of our meals had to go back to the kitchen because it was incorrect, and it took a full 30 minutes to return. By that time, everyone else had finished their food, and my sonâs meal came out so late that he lost his appetite entirely and ended up taking it to go.
This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner for my son, and the experience was a huge disappointment. The service was lackluster at best, and the food didnât impressâmediocre at best. It was truly frustrating, and we left feeling completely unsatisfied.
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if this restaurant ended up on the next episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The issues with service and food quality were glaring, and the overall experience just wasnât up to par. Overall, a poor experience that I would not be...

Our experience at Eatalio was great. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Eatalio, thanks to a friend who is a regular there. We started with some of their homemade garlic bread, which was absolutely delightful. The fluffy bread came with a perfect butter garlicky flavor. Our server recommended, we tried their fried cheese ravioli with their signature marinara sauce. Wow! I was very pleased with the combination of textures and flavors.
Our server provided excellent recommendations, and struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and allowing us to enjoy our conversation. Our meal was accompanied by delicious drinks from the bar. They have a wide variety of wines and cocktails to choose from. I also noticed, they have a nice coffee machine that I will try next time.
Both the chicken marsala and the Margherita pizza were delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the pizza had a perfectly crisp crust. My niece ordered, the Penne Alla Vodka with sausage, oh it was so good!
It really is a hidden gem in Gilbert, as other reviews mention. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Italian cuisine and a wonderful...
Read moreI REALLY wanted to like this place as I always try to support local businesses. I am Italian and granted I have a lot of experience with great Italian food, so take that for what you will. Italian food is peasant food and is big and flavorful and lively. This was none of those and greatly overpriced. 8.00 for one cannoli...I can make 20 cannolis and buy the shells for less than that and these had no chocolate chips or any other redeeming qualities. Dinner was a major disappointment. Chicken Piccata was not lightly breaded chicken as is normal, and was instead a dried up grilled chicken breast. Sauce was gloppy lemon flavored with overcooked penne with a handful of capers. My daughter's 15.00 ravioli which contained 5 raviolis, with Alfredo sauce were more pasta than filling. My husband had a salad and the dressing was awesome as was the salad but it had the same dried up grilled chicken as the picatta. Finally the Arriabiata sauce was thick like chili but without the meat. This is meant to be a light spicy buttery tomato sauce. This was an expensive meal for what we got and it just was not that good. Edible but not good. Overall completely unimpressive and I can get better and cheaper Italian food pretty much...
