We have stopped going to this location. About 4 weeks ago we went in. I asked for the manager and told him that I wanted to show him something. On the way, he asked if it was the ants. There were at least 200 ants on the table. He sent someone back with a wet cloth. She told me that someone spilled some yogurt on the table. I suggested to that person that they set the table outside until they could clean the area. She wiped the table. She must have had the ants on her rag because there were not as many ants on the table when she left. Two weeks ago when we went, the grass outside looked like it had not been cut in a month. We ordered and went to find a clean table. We asked if they could clean a table for us. The person came over, leaned down to see if they could see where the table was dirty and wiped of just that spot. I saw food on the floor and other tables that the person wiped off just the spot that they thought needed it. I have since gone to a Freddy's in east Mesa where I saw tables cleaned with a spray and the seats cleaned. They did not just use a wet rag and they cleaned the entire table surface, not just the spot they could see. This come from either a caring employee or a trained employee. The manager at the Baseline location does not seem to know how to train employers in cleaning and the owners must not...
Read moreWhile the food was good, the employees, including the manager on duty, were less than cooperative after I asked them to turn off the rap they were playing in the open kitchen. There was good music playing over the PA system into the dining room, and not everyone wants to hear rap. There was an older couple also in the dining room. After I asked it to be turned off, I turned to take my order to a booth. The employees just laughed at the request, and it didn't go off. I had ask the manager once again to turn off the rap. What DID go off was the good music over the PA. They fooled around with the PA radio system, and then played rap/hiphop over the PA. I went back and talked to the manager again, and he lied and said it was the same station as before. I've been in there enough times to know it wasn't, and told him to just turn it off, then. Pretty soon, they turned the good music station back on. I'm so tired of these young kids thinking they can do whatever they want. They need to be playing what is standard for the complany. They're not there to be entertained by their own version of "music", but to be working. They don't even know how to say "thank...
Read moreFood Safety Concern Our experience with Freddy's completely ruined my son's birthday treat. We have had frozen custard many times, and we love it - never ever had any kind of bad experience with it before. We went through the drive-through yesterday afternoon at the Gilbert/Baseline location and ordered 2 concretes...one strawberry and one oreo...and took them home to enjoy. But when we tasted them we found that both flavors had a disgusting chemical taste and horrible bitter aftertaste that should not be a part of any frozen custard experience. I can't imagine how the recipe got corrupted on BOTH flavors, and I am afraid that my son and I may have ingested some kind of "non-edible possibly dangerous substance" that got mixed in there by mistake - because those concretes did not taste like any kind of human food should. Both birthday treats got dumped down the drain. ZERO stars for food quality. The 3 stars for service was due to being given someone else's order the first time. Not really a big deal, it happens (though it really ought not to). Do...
