This is a chaged thought. I frequently visit this place for lunch and occasionally order pizza here for quick dinner.
UNFORTUNATELY this particular time SUCKED THE MOST. I was told that staff was changed to make it better. BUT NOT....
What went wrong... well I asked the young kid after waiting about 7 to 10 mins before service was acknowledged. He took care of other who came in after me.. not his fault for not know of others etiquette... but maybe ask whoever is next instead of attending to whoever you choose.
The next issue is I asked the young kid what the 24 inch pizza ($27) looked like....he pointed to the wall. I proceeded to order the 24 inch with two additional toppings ($3.50 per). I said I will order that with sausage mushrooms and Pinapple..Making a grand total of $34.00. If you are charging for extra toppings in relationship to size... I would (most normal people in general) would expect that the pizza would be covered to the near edge like all the other pizzas. BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!!! I recieved maybe 2/3 of the covered and the other having NOTHING. NADA ZILCH ZERO !!!!!
BUT that not the worst of it. the kid who took my order tried to convince me when he tried give a smaller pizza (brown box - most likely the 18 inch) that is what I ordered... insistent on that I did not order the other (24)... that had ranch in a bag (someone ordered that for pick up) and with his flair attitude that I was stupid for not knowing the size difference nor that I ordered the 24. I reminded him that is why I asked him about it before he pointed to the wall.... His statement was NO YOU DID NOT. I KNOW WHAT YOU ORDERED. ... WEL YOU CAN WAIT OR I WILL CREDIT YOU (All with a ln attitude of flair and entitlement)....
A young kid walked and wait... what just happened ... he gave the same effing pizza in the brown box with a bag of ranch to him. Hold on how can that be MY PIZZA. Did you just try and force.me.to take a pizza order that wasnt mine after you looked at the receipt on the box.. trying to convince me I was stupid for not knowing the difference between a 24 inch in a white box vs smaller pizzas in a brown box.
Another part is I should checked the change... he shorted me there too (my fault for trusting honesty) not even close wrapped and fanned the small bills and I assumed the bigger bills were on the bottom. NOT!!!
...... so short is this bad attitude, charged for product or expected product and fell short... tried to make feel stupid or ignorant and shorted me my change.... while giving no apology for any wrong doing. How can this be verified...
Well I called the store. Spike with a young lady Anna (manager for the night there) explained what happened. She asked for my name.. said you ordered a 24 inch 3 toppings (sausage mushrooms and Pinapple) - wait what just happened (she confirmed i.did order the 24 inch with 3 toppings) and the other person said I never did and that I had to wait for a 50 piece order before mine would be ready...
the good... Anna called the owner they will give me back the shortage in my change. However it does not give restitution for the bad service and attitude nor the shortage of the topping coverage. A partial win.
So disappointing... i am always willing to pay for service and quality or at least expected products. I have added some photos for you pleasure... to show the lack of...
Read moreI went to Geno’s regularly until today. Last week I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza with no onions, which is something I regularly get from them. When I got home, I saw that there was no sauce on the pizza. Called back and told them what happened, they asked me to take a picture and send it in. Sure, no problem! He then decided I didn’t need to send the picture in, that I had ordered from them enough that I should know what my pizza is supposed to look and taste like, so he said he was going to credit the account. Fast forward to today, my kids want pizza for dinner? So I go to call in an order are genos. The girl gave me my total and I explained that the buffalo chicken pizza is supposed to have a credit on it, and asked to speak to a manager. Same guy gets on the phone, says that they reviewed the “cameras” and that he had put the sauce on there, so he erased the credit on my account. I don’t know what their experience with buffalo sauce is, but you know when it’s there. And it sure was not. So at the end of the day, I am out $15 because I didn’t eat the original pizza, (if I had wanted cheesy bread with chicken on it, that’s what I would have ordered), and have been called a liar after being assured that they would fix THEIR mistake. Good job, Geno’s. You’ve lost at least one loyal customer, and I’ll be happy to share my story with anyone else I know who orders...
Read moreSUMMARY: I will not go to this place again. Irrespective of price, quality and taste, this place gets zero points for service.
DETAILED: My kids are enthusiastic about ordering from this place after we moved to its Glibert neighborhood only two weeks ago. I ordered 3 pizzas over the phone and was told to pick up after 15 minutes. I went there after 25 minutes. My pizzas were waiting for pickup. I pay at the cashier & collected my receipt. The girl at the cashier desk, after my payment, quietly proceeds with the next customer in the queue. No word about my pizza. I patiently waited until the cashier collects money from the next customer and delivers her her boxed pizza & quietly ignores me. Then she proceeds with the 2nd customer after me. At this point, I was not clear on what is going on. I politely asked the girl about my order. She replied that she has to take the order from the next customers. At this point, I felt frustrated and began getting assertive. The girl continued to ignore me. I had to use some loud complaining demanded attention of a supervisor or a manger. She said there is "no manager on floor". After raising my voice further and yelling for attention, the pizzas were handed to me by another...
