If I could give zero stars I would. Can’t speak for the food quality since we never got it but if you want a summary of the review below it’s this… don’t waste your time and money here, with so much good food within a couple miles of this place you’ll thank me (Helluva Brewing Co, The Perch, Moonshine Grill, Fat Willy’s all hands down better). I’d be shocked if this place is open in another year anyway.
We arrived at Icon’s a couple minutes before 7pm. No wait, waitress took some time to get drinks going but understandable as she was literally the only server for the entire floor. Only other employees were one bartender and the manager who apparently thought his time was best spent meandering around changing TV stations than running his business.
Got food ordered and noticed a large group that came in after us but sat nearby. We ordered one pizza and two sandwiches (both sandwiches were the same). Food order was in to the waitress around 7:15pm, around 7:45pm waitress apologizes and says the large group caused our food to go in late. Again still not a huge deal as we were in no rush but a little annoying. By 8:10pm, more than an hour after our arrival and after watching the manager literally play with the TV controls for 10 minutes I had enough. I approached him and told him the situation and asked that he close us out and cancel any food as we had been waiting an hour.
Instead of even a token apology he unprofessionally proceeds to dismiss my concern and try to show me how my food order did not reach his kitchen until 7:20pm, no kidding as again there was ONE server! Keep in mind it is still 8:10pm, it does not take 50 minutes to make a single margarita pizza and two French dip sandwiches when your restaurant is half empty.
To top it all off our bill for 2 draft beers and one very small glass of wine over our entire 1hr and 15 minute stay was $30! I tipped the waitress her 20% and called it a night. Again, save yourself the bad experience and spend your hard earned money somewhere else. You’ll...
Read moreWe tried Icon Sports Bar for the first time tonight and could not be more disappointed. We arrived at 6:55pm (time stamped per our State Farm app). We ordered 2 sandwiches and one pizza. Our food had not arrived as of 8:10pm, so we spoke with the manager to cancel the food order and just pay for our drinks. His attitude was horrific. He flippantly and unapologetically told us that our order was not placed until 7:20pm. Fine, if that’s true, it has still been 50 minutes since we placed our order. And it was 25 minutes after our arrival before our order was even taken! Our server was apologetic and appeared to be the only person working. But the manager on duty was ridiculous. He was too busy changing TV channels to care about anything else. We love supporting new businesses, but tonight we paid for our drinks and left hungry. Don’t get attached, this place will not be in business for very long!
Response to business owner - your response is a complete fabrication. The “heavy dinner crowd” you mention is a half full restaurant, there were not 60 people in the entire place and probably less than 10 that came in after us. Using time stamps from your system when one poor girl is running around your place trying to service everyone seems outlandish. The large table you blame your timing on placed their food order AFTER us and we know that because they were 5 feet away from us. So basically our order was bumped for a larger table which again is not acceptable. The server notified us one time of the pizza being delayed and we patiently waited another 25 minutes before deciding to leave. Best of luck to you and your business, I do hope it improves, more so for future customers and any employees that count on you...
Read moreI arrived for my beautiful wife's birthday. Debra was turning big 50 and wanted a meal to never forget, but this is NOT what we got. The server took over an hour to seat us even though we had a reservation!!!! After we were finally seated my poor wife's feet were killing her but the seats were decently nice. We ordered a few sandwiches and burgers for the table as well as the CBR Quesadilla, it was not good in the slightest. Now for how much we paid, I will add me and my wife are plus size (450+ LB) we paid almost $80 each for our food! And now the worst part of the experience, I went to pay when my first card was declined (my debit card which was EXPIRED) the waitress then loudly said "Little pig boy is a big broke boy!" I was so furious I almost just walked out. She then walked off a new server came without check, there were things on it that we didn't even buy or that they didn't even serve! They said we bought 7 big macs?! After I read the receipt and went to rebuttal it the chef came out and sprayed me down with melted butter and olive oil! They then offered me an invitation to a "Big boy oil wrestling match" which I declined. Overall this place is not good! I would not recommend unless you're into oiled up fat man wrestling matches in...
