I have always enjoyed matcha and often made mine at home; however, when I came across Match Grove, I was excited to find a cafe specializing in making matcha. I've had matcha at lots of places around the Valley, including Starbucks (I can't believe SB even calls theirs "matcha") and Black Rock (which looked tasted like a brownish cup of...). My first experience at Matcha Grove was with a cold Strawberry Matcha. This drink was excellent! Not only was it served in a beautifully aesthetic way (fresh strawberries mixed with the almond milk and monk fruit sweetener on the bottom, topped off by the most beautiful bright GREEN matcha on top), and when I mixed it with my straw, the flavor was terrific. I ACTUALLY tasted the matcha! In most places I have purchased a matcha drink from, I question if authentic matcha is even in it, and if it is, it certainly doesn't taste like high quality. Matcha Grove is different, and I could instantly tell by how it looked and, more importantly, how it tasted; they used very high-quality products. Since my first visit, I have been back regularly and have ordered through their entire matcha drink menu, including their seasonal drinks. I have also regularly purchased their food items, and even though I have no food allergies or digestive issues, it is nice to know they offer GF and dairy-free options for those who do. And double bonus, their food is also delicious. I will continue to be a regular customer for a very long time and highly recommend this cafe! Do yourself a favor...ditch the coffee and head to Matcha Grove for a whole new experience. You...
Read moreWARNING NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY ALMOST KILLED ME Pink haired girl said the banana bread was walnut free, even went in the back and "double checked" I let her know I have anaphylaxis to walnuts. She confirmed no walnuts. I left and ate the banana bread in the car, well to my shock about 5 mins later I'm in anaphylaxes. We call to have her triple check it there was walnuts and she laughs it off and says "oh it does say there is walnuts in there, sorry about that" still giggling she (probably out of panic) but none the less totally unsympathetic at the severity of the situation. Now we are at the hospital as I recover from a near death experience that could've & would've killed me if I hadn't made it to help in time. Leaving my children motherless. This is a serious situation and needs to be addressed and made aware so others don't have this problem. They have turned there phones off so we have not been able to reach them. It's an unfortunate situation because we were so excited to try this place. If you have allergies I suggest skipping this place because this baristas lack of compassion and knowledge...
Read moreWe just discovered this local shop, and we are huge fans! In an attempt to be less caffeinated, jumping on the Matcha bandwagon was something we have been wanting to pursue, and Matcha Grove was definitely a delightful discovery, that was an absolutely incredible introduction to Matcha. Delicious, still have me the pick me up I was looking for, and spring a small shop! The design is beautiful, set up to be a small hangout or lounge, free WiFi, apple room and knowledgeable baristas! We have been returning to this place anytime we are in the area and...
