A LITTLE BIT OF THAILAND IN MY OWN BACKYARD!!! WHO KNEW??
My wife and I have been searching for authentic tasting Thai Food and her friend brought her to Thai Boat Noodle a few weeks ago. She, being a native of Southern Thailand and having a pallet for Thai cuisine, it is extremely hard for her to be pleased/impressed by any Thai restaurant. The fact that she suggested that we eat here and for her to want to visit a Thai eatery 2X is a major statement. Most times I will suggest eating or trying a new Thai establishment and the answer is always a flat NO!
The food here was absolutely GREAT and it rivals some of the top Thai restaurants that we have tried in Los Angeles. The food is extremely tasty and of really great quality. I started off with their handmade egg rolls, which were absolutely exquisite. We followed with main courses of their Beef Penang and my wife had Thai Cucumber salad. All were spiced just right. For desert We had The Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango. It was to DIE FOR!!! The Mango was ripened to perfection and the desert was an overall 10.
The ambience of the restaurant is rather simple and dining is very casual.
While we were were there we ran into Instagram influencer @foodiehand and ruby. They allowed us to photograph their food as well so you can get an idea what some of the dishes actually look like.
All in all a great dining experience that we will...
Read moreThis place has been on my "must try" list for the boat noodle soup. Finally, I was in the area and met my friend for lunch, did not disappoint. Not having been here before, the location was a little hard to find, tucked away in a strip mall. The place is small, very nondescript decor. The husband and wife work there, very friendly. When you enter, there is a table with the menus, chopsticks and straws, take them and get a table. Service is fast and the place is clean and because of that, there were a lot of customers coming and going during the lunch hour.
My friend and I ordered the same dish,. The boat noodles with beef and original rice noodles at a mild level of spiciness. They give you a great condiment tray of hot pepper, fish sauce, sugar and chili vinegar if you need extra. My soup came out first, though I would of thought they would come out same time as I waited for my friends to be delivered before I started to eat. which ment mine was losing steam.
The flavor of the broth was so savory, so good. The meat was tender. I'm not a fan of Asian meatballs, but these were really good. I will definitely be back for the boast noodle soup and to try the other dishes.
Atmosphere: plan not fancy but clean. Service: excellent....
Read more15 out of 10! I have been on the search for the best, most authentic Thai restaurant since I moved out of my parents' house. I grew up eating Thai food everyday, so you can imagine how picky I am. No one cooks like my mom... until now! We started off with the bamboo appetizer (medium), the sun-dried pork, and sticky rice. Amazing! All of it. For our entrees, my friend had the drunken noodles and I had the Thai boat noodle soup. She added a bit more chili and some chili vinegar and she said it was so good, that had it not been such a big dish, she would have cleaned her plate. My boat noodle soup had tons of flavor, but if you're Thai, you always add the extra condiments they bring to your table. My meat of choice was pork and it was the most tender pork I've ever had. Unbelievable! Even though we failed to wear our Thanksgiving pants and were splitting our pants seams, we still ordered the mango with sticky rice. I've never had one so good. I can't even explain it. I contemplated ordering one to go, but for two women to have gone through 5 plates of food, shame washed over me, so I made a solemn vow to return very soon. I've got to try every item on the menu...
