Redemption Gilbert — Attraction in Gilbert

I've gone to a Church for many years prior but it got to be not for me. I don't like when a Church makes you feel bad for not giving money. I then lost myself. I've driven past this church a few times over the years. My work schedule doesn't always give me Sundays off. Well today I had off. Around 833 I think it was I called because something was telling me I needed to go. But i called for hours. I got off the phone and through myself together. I got there and as I came to the sidewalk there was a nice gentleman who was talking to some ladies and I over heard him mention my hometown. I waited because I had no clue where I was going. He introduced himself to me and walked me to where I needed to go. I then walked in was greeted by two people with smiles. I walked in and it was huge. I absolutely was touched by the service today and two of the songs really touched me . But the one who touched me most was Shawn. Sweet man and was so nice. He was put in my path today for a reason. Just like I was meant to go to this Church this morning. He gave me some info and heard a little bit of my story so im hoping for the best. I will...

Church shopping is one of the worst activities.

We were so happy to find Redemption after moving to Gilbert from Anthem.

Redemption Gilbert is a non-denominational campus style Christian church. It is part of a multi-church spread across Phoenix and Arizona.

It's a large church with over a thousand families attending. But the amazing thing is the culture that has grown of community and service. It creates connections and relationships that make it feel like a much smaller and welcoming community.

Sermons are bible-based and taught straight from scripture. The lead pastor, Tim, and the entire pastoral staff give excellent sermons that always include real life application and a challenge to your walk with God.

The children's ministry is exceptionally strong. Our kids have been enthusiastically involved through high school.

I recommend you visit Redemption for a few weeks and end your search for a church home....

Unfortunately this church has a lot of work to do. Their "worship" music was completely focused on how people are made better by God, rather than praising God for who He is. One could put any woman's name in place of God or Father in the songs and they would be no different than any pop songs about one's girlfriend. Then the sermon was all about attracting more members and didn't teach ANYTHING about the Gospel or the character of God and Jesus. If I was completely new to Christianity or an unbeliever, I would have left there not knowing anything about what they believe, other than they want people to invite more people to church, apparently so they can learn to invite more people...We had high hopes for this church because they claim to hold to the reformation doctrine, but it seems that is just a rubber stamp.
