Let me start by saying the food here USED to be amazing. I have been buying from here about once a week for over 2 years but recently the food has been going down hill. As for the rest...the service, delivery time, and price has ALWAYS been crap but the food was always so good you just looked past the unprofessional phone orders, hour long delivery even during the middle of the week, and $3-$4 higher prices then other places but just last night 9/28/13 we received the most horrible food.
Cold, rubbery noodles with almost no meat, chewy pot stickers, seemed old, and a comment of "your bill does not include a tip" when dropping off the food. We did not eat more then a bite and went to bed hungry.
The next morning we called in and the girl was very short and rude to us saying the manager had gone back to china and when we asked for anyone that could help, "I'm new" and she hung up. You would think that was the end but no I tried to physically take the uneaten food back and spent almost 15 minutes with this girl jerking me around. She even pulled up my profile and she said "you order all the time; no problem; why now? We sell a lot of pot sticker; no complaints."
after more back and forth she said she would give me a credit which I was happy to take. I had no intention of abandoning my regular place. I was more then ready to assume they just had a bad night until she said she couldn't give me a full credit because all the food wasn't there...There were 3 pot stickers missing out of 7 so she offered $18 instead of my $25. Not even an apology. Final slap in the face.
I walked out and will never go back or recommend this place again after over 2 years of enjoying...
Read moreI miss Chinese food from the East Coast, where the flavors were rich, the aromas intoxicating, and the dishes were crafted with an artistry that felt unique to the region. From spicy Szechuan dishes to comforting dim sum, every meal was a delightful exploration of taste and culture. Here in Arizona, the quest for that same quality often feels daunting. Many places seem to compromise on authenticity, serving dishes that lack the depth and passion found in the East Coast's bustling kitchens.
However, my culinary journey took a delightful turn when I discovered King Wok Chinese Restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed by the familiar scent of sizzling garlic and soy sauce wafting through the air. Each dish served was a reminder of the flavors I had been yearning for: the perfectly crispy spring rolls, the savory fried rice brimming with fresh vegetables, and the sweet-and-sour chicken that made my taste buds sing. King Wok has not only restored my hopes for Chinese food in Arizona but has also ignited a new excitement in my dining experience. Each meal feels like a cherished memory from the East Coast while still carrying its own...
Read moreI just left here where I always order the same dish and due to a horrible allergy get a substitute for a certain item. It's always spelled out specifically each time. This time today however the substitute never happened. When I called to let them know, the gentleman who answered first tried to say it was an online order oh well. Then he read the order and saw it was right there in black and white. I was told "oh thats our bad, we'll give you a credit for an egg roll for next time." I explained the entire dish was un-eatable due to an allergy. Then said they could deliver a new order but I would take 45mins plus to get it. They're less than 2 miles away. The meal went in the trash and we went somewhere else.
This had happened one other time in the past and we were credit the cost of order for the next time we went.
This time the customer service was horrible. If we decide to go back we'll definitely now have to confirm the order isnt wrong again.
The "oh our bad" just...
