Los Favoritos Taco Shop, LLC — Restaurant in Gilbert

Stopped off at this location with my sister (ray road in chandler) after heading home from a visit of family and hearing great reviews from the family members. My sister went in and place an order for the family (3 chile relleno burrito one with only beans, the second with bean and pico de gallo, and the last with with beans and rice, 1 taco de lengua, 1 order of twelve rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese, and 3 orders of horchata). After placing the order my sister than proceeded to wait over 30 minutes which made no sense since it was pretty empty. When she asked how much longer the food would be the cashier replied that he doesnt know since he didnt work in the kitchen. He also explained that the burritos would take a while. This is one of the other location that my sister has been to and she has order thr burritos before and has never waited this long for these burritos. After receiving our food we went home. When we arrived home we began unwrapping our food and notice that 2 or the burritos were incorrect and the taco was soggy. We called to place a complaint and instead of receiving an apology the worker kept arguing with us. He then proceeded to say that if we want we could bring the food back and they will remake it however it was 10:45 at night by the time we reached home and we still had work the next day so we got the supervisor number and plan on filing a new complaint with the supervisor the next day. However after the terrible service we recieved as well as the wait time both me and my sister have agreed that we will never return to this...

Fast food Mexican restaurants are a staple in Arizona. So trying them comes with living here. The low end of this category is Filbertos, and from there all other fast food Mexican places are typically measured. Los Favoritos is in this category but sits squarely in the higher range of quality.

The restaurant is actually kept quite nice, clean and has a clear attention to detail at being nicer than something like Filbertos. Even the restrooms are nicely kept, being both clean and adorned with styled decor.

The staff is quick, kind and attentive. Placing the order was swift, as expected at a fast food place. The prices were reasonable with most entrées being 10 or less. There are larger combo plates that price around 12, but still very reasonable.

Los Faves does not supply free chips and salsa, but that is standard for fast food Mexican restaurants. The free chips and salsa are normally only provided by sit down establishments.

I ordered the Rojo burrito combo plate plus a shredded beef taco on the side. The flavor was nice, and adding the red sauce really was perfect with zesty spiciness. The refried beans were very smoothly mashed, and the spanish rice was light.

Los Faves is a nicer alternative to Filbertos with prices almost identical. You will enjoy this as an option for your next time desiring fast food...

My family and I have been Los Favoritos customers for over 6 years. We have been to many of thier family owned locations throughout the Valley and befriended the employees and owners. Our first and last time to this location. The 2 girls at the front were rude and need to work on thier customer service. NO CUSTOMERS, NO BUSINESS! My wife ordered the 2 Carne asada taco plate. I ordered separately, right after her, 1 Carne asada taco, 1 ground beef taco, and a large drink. Her order came promptly, my order took an additional 15 min. Why? It was not busy. There were NO large drink lids, asked if they had any and the cashier responded so rude, "we don't have none!" Half way through my meal, the two female cashiers started to talk about me negatively, right in front of me and my family in Spanish. So unprofessional. Little did they know I understand Spanish. This is unacceptable in any business environment and should be Terminated Immediately. The Carne asada taco I received was filled with only half the meat of the ones my wife received. No consistency in thier food prep. Thats BAD business. SO DISSAPOINTED! We will NOT be returning to this location ever again, lost my RESPECT and MONEY for sure. BLACK SHEEP OF THE FAMILY...
