Perch Brewing Co. — Restaurant in Gilbert

I have been a patron since this place opened (formerly a loyal patron of Flying Basset).

Horrible Service recently. At first, service was good, but has progressively degraded.

Previously, I have arrived 1.5 hours before the posted closing time on the building and online just to find the bartender state that they are closed. However, there are still patrons at the bar with full beers enjoying themselves. Further, this bar regularly allows patrons to hangout and drink beers while cleaning up the bar for the staff after hours.

I have to wave down the staff repeatedly to get service after being ignored for an extended period of time, just to be waved off to wait some more. Then to top it off, I get the wrong order or no order at all (25 minutes).

It seems at times that some of the staff aren’t interested in helping customers.

I hate to do this, esp since I love the original perch located in Chandler so much however, the perch in Chandler was crazy busy tonight for a Mardi Gras party and we couldn’t get in for dinner so we decided to check out the new Gilbert location… It was completely dead - only one table, and then a few people at the bar top so we figured score!… Menus are already on the table which is nice I guess,… if someone ever came over to take your order?? Man where we were wrong, we were never greeted +no wait staff ever came over… so we left and checked out bird call instead which was a knock out and SO good! the menu at perch Gilbert also seemed super small and very limited??? But I could be wrong. Not sure but I probably won’t go back… I will only be visiting the original Chandler location that’s how...

We stopped in on a Sunday and we left very impressed. We always enjoyed the Chandler Perch but had not been there in a while due to the distance from our house. We love craft beer and good food, and it is sometimes difficult to find a place that has both. We thought we would try a couple of items on their limited menu, and they were exceptional. The chicken strips were obviously made from scratch and were breaded and cooked to perfection. The dipping sauces were excellent as well, try the Jalapeño marmalade! We also split the BLTA which was fantastic, we really loved the parmesan encrusted bread.
